Yeah. The WG had been obviously gigantic villains. But since the expansion on who the 5 Elders are, and seeing even just ONE of their actions over the years.

Luffy HAS to get up and fight Saturn.

The final act might really be Kuma removing all the fatigue Luffy has fighting Kizaru, Lucci and the Pacifistas

Allowing him to fight Saturn cause he looks insanely exhausted right now

It’s not like Kuma hasn’t saved Luffy so Luffy could fight another day multiple times before. But that’s all the reason why this time Luffy needs to save Kuma. While in Nika form. In fact, if his reality altering powers during Nika mode allowed him to somehow “bounce back” Kuma’s memories…. Even better.

Dude, if Blackbeard himself gets Saturn's DF that would be wild. He's getting a mythical zoan for sure, but I think it'll be an original one.

Edit: I just realized the comment is referring to Kuma's fruit, not Saturn's. I don't want Kuma's fruit going to those shits. Could be pretty powerful in the hands of a SH ally as it would let them quickly travel and save someone, but then again that might be too convenient and kill the plot.

There were some huge "leaks" from somebody last year where he mentioned what happens after egghead and that frankie gets kumas devil fruit.

Its probably all made up

Upgrading the ship's launch abilities with Paw-Paw blasts would be absolutely nuts and also perfect for an endgame storyline where the crew has to actually move back and forth across the planet in the span of days instead of weeks. Laugh Tale and Mary Geoise are on dead opposite sides of the planet.

I do wonder about the self destruct. Why haven't they used it yet? When he went rogue for two years? When they rescued him from Mariejois? They could have dealt a big blow to the Revolutionaries by letting them rescue him only to activate the bomb once he was in their HQ.

I'm going to take a guess that, as much as Saturn thinks he would know about science, Vegapunk probably figured out a loophole.

If we want to get extra tinfoil-y about it, maybe it's possible Saturn has been lured to Egghead. He might be the only one that could figure out how to take control of Kuma at Mariejois. I started wondering, given how easy it was to stop York, if was all part of a larger plan. Yes, she's supposed to handle all of Vegapunk's baser needs. But after this flashback, I can't imagine any part of Vegapunk would want to become a Celestial Dragon.

Maybe Kuma will self-destruct and Vegapunk has the ability to set it off .remotely. In the middle of Mariejois. I'm also still a believer that Kuma is carrying the programming from the robot on Egghead and possibly going to attempt to attack Imu.

I'm also still holding out hope that somehow Kuma's consciousness was stored somehow (whatever Vegapunk said could help him examine Kuma's memories without touching) and I still hope the robot that woke up is "Kuma" and will help save Bonney. (Plus get confirmation that Luffy is in fact Nika.)

I'm not great at coming up with ultra-detailed theories, but I think there's some possibilities here that some smarter folks here might be able to expand on.

It's insane how many great flashbacks we got in this series, especially post-timeskip for non strawhats.

Fishertiger/Otohime, Dofy/Law, BM, Oden and Kuma.

It would be ironic if Kuma's self destruction is what takes out Saturn. Though I'm pretty sure Saturn can tank the explosion (and if he can't, then the explosion is so big that everyone else will get caught in it too).

the bomb in kuma is definitly important but he is climbing the redline so we have to assume his goal is up there and not in egghead where he can instantly teleport himself.
