The sub is open for new content

This sub was dead because previous mods had restricted posting, pretty much killing the sub when those people stopped posting

When I became moderator I changed that policy and the sub is now open

Do you know why the mods stopped it before?

I believe the original mods weren't properly moderating the sub to get rid of controversial and/or violence inciting posts, were banned from reddit, and the sub was then taken over by a different fellow who turned out to be an anti-Trump-obsessed fanatic with the intent of killing the sub, rather than fixing issues

I randomly ran into this sub, noticed it wasn't being used, and requested it

If I recall the dates correctly, the sub has been on 100% lockdown for almost two years

The former mod restricted submissions to himself, and his last post was about two years ago

I see, that's unfortunate that things went that way.

Thanks for reopening the place, cooler heads prevailed in this regards. Hopefully we can make it into a nice place.
