Social Commentary Cry-bully propagandist Destiny disparaged the memory of Michael Brooks, a journalist & political commentator who passed away suddenly in 2020. Michael was a principled voice against apartheid & imperialism.

just found out he died, was wondering why he wasnt showing up but r.i.p to one of the few legends who walked side by side with norman finklestein in the west.

22

u/TolgaBaey Oct 20 '24

He was a real one. Sorely missed.

If a pro Palestinian said they were glad a Jewish guy was dead they’d be called the antisemite of the year

Edit: as long as the dead person was Zionist

Norm Finklestein’s response was to celebrate and yell “Hallelujah” and said that the massacre “warns every fibre of his soul”

Don't act like you don't know he wasn't aware of the nature of the attack when he made that statement lol. Always so disingenuous

The irony of Destiny calling Michael a 'Cuck' when Destiny let other men sleep with his wife.

32

u/Big-Amount6721 Oct 20 '24

"let", you act as if he had any choice; his "wife" was only with him for the greencard, she left immediately after it arrived, lmao

and also never let him fuck her, meanwhile she fucked whomever she wanted, lol

Even to destiny

Destiny fans really don't even respect themselves anymore lol. Desperate hater energy.

-22

u/UnlikelyAssassin Oct 20 '24

Hater against who?

21

u/Zarfot- Oct 20 '24

Palestinian baby’s

3

u/Excellent_Valuable92 Oct 20 '24

Brooks, for one, obviously. Presumably anyone else with any decency

-47

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

That's not what a cuck is btw. That's a polyamrous relationship.

34

u/FaultElectrical4075 Oct 20 '24

A polyamorous relationship isn’t ’letting someone sleep with your wife’ it’s a permanent arrangement.

I don’t have a problem with people being cucks but calling a dead person who is a million times more respectable than you a ‘cuck’ as an insult when you are one yourself is pathetic. It’s just pathetic

-23

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

So if the man in the relationshio fucks other women too then. Is the woman a cuck in your view?

When I think of a cuck, it's someone who gets off on watching someone fuck his wife. Often because they like watching the men. P Diddy would be an example of this.

Politics aside. That's what I thought the term meant.

23

u/lecoqdezellwiller Oct 20 '24

Nobody cares you utter fucking clown.

-26

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

Oh my bad. I thought words meant things. Carry on.

20

u/TolgaBaey Oct 20 '24

Because you are sealioning an irrelevant point like a complete moron and not getting people nicely telling you how cringe you are being, because your skull is too thick. Better?

-4

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

It's cool. I figured the meaning of words would be relevant to a conversation, but carry on, no need to be such a pedophile about it though.

14

u/TolgaBaey Oct 20 '24

🤣

bruh

4

u/FaultElectrical4075 Oct 20 '24
  1. What does that have to do with anything

  2. Sure a woman can be a cuck I guess

1

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

So in this case both destiny and his wife were cucks. It's a wrong definition, but you can roll with it I guess.

Generally a cuck is someone who watches his wife get fucked. Go to porn hub and type in cuck. That's all you'll see. People generally don't refer to people in open relationships as all being cucks.

6

u/FaultElectrical4075 Oct 20 '24

The way Destiny is using the word ‘cuck’ is just meant as an insult. Nothing more. He isn’t genuinely claiming Michael brooks enjoyed watching his wife sleep with other men

0

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

The comment I'm responding to says otherwise

"The irony of Destiny calling Michael a 'Cuck' when Destiny let other men sleep with his wife."

4

u/FaultElectrical4075 Oct 20 '24

It doesn’t actually say otherwise though

0

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

Huh....

No idea what you're trying to say

Pffft hahaha. Suuuuure.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Destiny/comments/18nznc8/so_to_sum_up_the_melina_situation/

Even the Destiny dickriding fanclub doesn't deny what happened.

I've been told that people with "polyamrous" relationships are special, that they're extraordinarily emotionally mature and stable because those are the only kinds of people who can handle handle it.

Far be it for me to suggest that might not actually be the case and it in fact is a magnet for drama and hot dumpster fire relationships

0

u/RajcaT Oct 20 '24

Polyamoury is stupid. It's still different than being a cuck.

73

u/aboodi803 Oct 20 '24

did he say a Cuck?? him of all people !!

-22

u/UnlikelyAssassin Oct 20 '24

If even destiny calls you a cuck, you know you’re a cuck.

23

u/Deadpoulpe Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

Bro, it's like the sixth commentary where you talk about "cucks" and whatnot.

You seem fixated on the term, is it one of your kinks ? Do you want to be one or something ?

-8

u/UnlikelyAssassin Oct 20 '24

I mean it’s the original comment I replied to who brought up.

3

u/actuallywaffles Oct 20 '24

Destiny isn't gonna fuck you. You can stop simping for him. His take was garbage.

69

u/Followprotochomo Oct 20 '24

destiny is still mad about their debate were Michael beat him like a pinata

50

u/aPrussianBot Oct 20 '24

Destiny is genuinely one of the most insufferable pieces of shit alive

1

u/Excellent_Valuable92 Oct 20 '24

In all fairness, isn’t he kind of the norm for streamers? They all seem to be repulsive people.

40

u/ThornsofTristan Oct 20 '24

Destiny's one to talk, re his takes on Palestine. Norm Finkelstein's drubbing of Destiny ("Mr Borelli"..."Mr Banale") is literally a meme.

-13

u/UnlikelyAssassin Oct 20 '24

The head of the ICJ came out some time after the debate and clarified the “plausible genocide” point that destiny and Finklestein debated and showed Finklestein was unbelievably laughably wrong on that point in the debate.

2

u/Excellent_Valuable92 Oct 20 '24

Why do people become fans of these gross streamers and their dumb “debates”?

32

u/SomeGuyInTheNet Oct 20 '24

This guy was quite elegant in his approach, the world is less bright without him. RIP

29

u/ttystikk Oct 20 '24

Michael Brooks was a good man who put in the work and built something positive that outlived him.

We should all strive to do as well in life.

27

u/DurdenEdits Oct 20 '24

Destiny calling someone else a cuck

...... Is he trolling???? Lmao what??

Anyway here's Michael laughing at someone calling him a cuck https://youtu.be/UbGpnYXYlIU

-10

u/UnlikelyAssassin Oct 20 '24

I guess it takes one to know one. Even to destiny, Michael comes across as a cuck.

18

u/WeareStillRomans Oct 20 '24

How awful for a human being to have completely lost aspects like compassion and decency to rejoice in death like that.

Absolutely tragic how this system of us turns people into wretched lizards like that

21

u/Gates9 Oct 20 '24

Destiny is an odious individual

17

u/BrentTgw Oct 20 '24

But destiny isn't a propagandist 🤔

3

u/Mental-Credit-5555 Oct 20 '24

If you agree with destiny or are a fan of that demon, from the bottom of my heart get fucked. That is a disgusting thing to say and that demon would have been chanting and screeching for the nazis to speed up their genocide. What a waste of oxygen. Absolute fucking cunt.

Rest in POWER Michael, we never deserved you.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '24

I love watching Hasanabi, he is a great person and his uncle Cenk from TYT!

-1

u/Acalyus Oct 20 '24

Why does Destiny think that? Is he not mistaking him for someone else?

From what I've heard of Destiny, him and Micheal would be on the exact same page.

3

u/TrippleTonyHawk Oct 20 '24

You must have not heard much. Even when Michael was still alive, Destiny's focus was mostly to justify democrats taking on more conservative positions while Michael's was to undermine them and advocate for democratic socialist values. Nowadays Destiny is just a reactionary edgelord that despises leftists, but even back then it was becoming more evident that's all he was.

1

u/Excellent_Valuable92 Oct 20 '24

“Destiny” is cheerleading genocide. Brooks was supportive of the Palestinian cause and of human rights, in general

1

u/Acalyus Oct 20 '24

Seriously??

Do you have a link? I'd be very interested to see that

1

u/Excellent_Valuable92 Oct 21 '24

Which one? They both have had a lot to say on the subject. You could search “Michael Brooks Palestine” or “Destiny Palestine” or just visit the delightful r/destiny.

1

u/Acalyus Oct 21 '24

Yup, I definitely could.

But as they say in their videos theirs only so much content you can consume before you miss stuff because you still got a life to upkeep.

From what I'm understanding, destiny is pro isreal, either you're going to link me or I'm going to assume.

1

u/Excellent_Valuable92 Oct 21 '24

I’m not going to link. He’s obnoxiously pro-Israel.

-72

u/WolfKingofRuss Oct 19 '24

Lets not post Hasan here..... News and Politics only please g Rule 2

46

u/-SirGarmaples- Oct 19 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

The clip isn't really about Hasan here, nor does he make any statements in this clip (he barely says anything). Plus, he's quite literally a political commentator streamer. If anything, his content (edit: if there was any in this clip) is even more relevant here since the sub's name is NewsAndPolitics.

Hasan is a very respectable and principled person, he sets a great example for how to inform yourself and become a better political participant. I constantly learn from him and never would have heard as much discourse from the likes of great thinkers like Noam Chomsky if it wasn't for him.

-3

u/MasterDefibrillator Oct 20 '24

I mean, I don't agree. Maybe it's just a generational thing, but the bits where I see hasan, give me no interest in him at all, even though I agree with virtually all his positions. But if he's leading people towards genuinely impressive people like Chomsky, then that's a good thing.

4

u/neimengu Oct 20 '24

I mean the man constantly interviews award winning journalists, was invited to give talks at universities, etc. etc. I don't know how much more respectability you want a twitch streamer to have

-48

u/WolfKingofRuss Oct 19 '24

When Hasan calls Hamas the good guys, Houthi rebels Luffy from one piece, I kinda beg to differ hey.

I'm only extremely critical of those two individuals, as I liked them for a bit, before I expanded my knowledge base and realised that they're just in it for themselves.

My vitriol was uncalled for, but I do think that this sub shouldn't have podcasters on it, and should stick to international news.

We are all from a diverse political spectrum, and posting individuals will only fracture the community. Keep the foundations strong, as we want what's best for everyone.

39

u/salkhan Oct 20 '24

When Israel commits Genocide, the resistance/opposition to it is justified frankly. The US on the wrong side of history on this one.

-2

u/WolfKingofRuss Oct 20 '24

Any puppet state cares not for the plight of the citizens, though I do agree with you that oppression does breed conflict of this ilk.

Saying that, I do not support any Iranian or US back state or group, only the civilians caught in the conflict.

I'll leave things there

0

u/Corrupt_Official Oct 20 '24

Hamas aren't puppets of Iran lmao they quite literally only recieve support from Iran because no one else is willing to help.

20

u/-SirGarmaples- Oct 20 '24 edited Oct 20 '24

but I do think that this sub shouldn't have podcasters on it, and should stick to international news.

With all due respect, you do not make the subreddit's rules. Neither do I.

Houthi rebels Luffy from one piece

He quite literally said verbatim that he wasn't a Houthi rebel, which you would know if you've actually watched the stream. Unless you have evidence of his membership in the movement, you cannot say otherwise or ""probably"". Secondly, why are you so offended by the humanizing of a random Yemeni young adult (he's 19 years old) who said he's watched a lot of One Piece, watched SpongeBob, and Tom & Jerry just like you & I? Who likes music & dancing just as much as you might? In the stream, he was never actually called a pirate—only in air quotes—unless I'm mistaken. There is no evidence I've seen showing he is either a pirate or Houthi.

When Hasan calls H_m_s the good guys

??? Hasan has on-the-record condemned the loss of innocent lives on that day, and the tens of thousands of Palestinians before & after that day, numerous times & on numerous streams. Have you actually tried to talk to Hasan, or watched his streams with your full attention to understand what he's saying? Have you been so blinded with your rage you blocked each time he said those things? If you have a not-out-of-context clip of him supporting H_m_s, please do show it to me.

16

u/-SirGarmaples- Oct 19 '24 edited Oct 19 '24

??? There is literally no discourse between Hasan & Destiny in this particular clip. Have you even watched the clip?

3

u/senzare Oct 20 '24

It's illustrative that he hasn't. Everything seems fair play to attack political adversaries...
