I've found Japanese folks to be particularly wholesome when it comes to taking pictures

A collectively respectful culture in general. Wish I could live and die there.

As someone of asian descent, they weren't and aren't always that way.

Nice doesn't mean good. Polite doesn't mean kind.

I bet, lots of context and history to consider overall. On a smaller scale, it might be like how I consider my parents to be. If people really knew how awful they were it could tell a different story, but to the general public, they’re as sweet as pie.

This story shows how kindness and respect can bring people together, even if they are complete strangers. It's not just a mountain in this photo, but sincere smiles that remind us that the world is a better place when we help each other out❤️❤️❤️

Can confirm. Visiting Japan was an amazing experience. Everyone there is so friendly.

I've heard they're pretty racist over there tbh

They are.

Visiting Japan is far different from living there. Living there was honestly a nightmare sometimes 😂.

I remember biking to the station and some elderly Japanese people pointed and called me a gaijin on a bike. They were trying to be insulting but I found it hilarious.

Your comment is totally unrelated to the post. And what is the point commenting on someone's positive experience with something that you "have heard". Either experience it yourself or be quiet. I live here since 4 years and indeed people are much nicer on average then any other place I have been so far. That doesn't mean of course that everybody is nice and yes there are also racist people but I'm talking about the population on average.

I wasn't commenting on the post. I was commenting on another user's comment. And frankly IDGAF about anything you've just said to me.

Yeah, they said also that to me while I was doing my vacation in Nanjing. Also Japanese people do really like kids, but they prefer them even more if they are Chinese and buried in mass graves.

Nice people!! I would have hugged them straight away!! 🙏🏽❤️

Funnily I wanted to greet a japanese exchange student once and I entirely traumatised him by hugging him because apparently japanese people are uncomfortable with physical proximity and especially with strangers (explained my other japanese friend afterwards).

For a second, I thought it was Stephen Hawking—just based on the way they were sitting.

1

u/QuirkyDust3556 13h ago

I can't tell you how many times someone said to me, on a clear say you can see Fuji San from here. The only time I saw it was from a 747 lol.

1

u/No-Screen1369 13h ago

The goofy expressions are peak 👍

1

u/randomguy923 13h ago

It is very polite of them but i wonder... why not ask them to take a picture of it?

1

u/throwautism52 12h ago

Taking one before entering the plane with tiny windows would also be a viable option lmao

1

u/AuthorKlutzy8636 13h ago

That’s the clearest photo of Mt. Fuji I’ve ever seen! Nice one! Lol.

1

u/jbyrne741 10h ago

their smiles are so happy. love both their attitude and cuteness!

1

u/AnKYjen 10h ago

What really warms the heart about that pic is that everyone’s happy, but those two are even happier for you.

Would be interested in seeing the data on whether more than 50% of those who viewed this appreciated it less than the one it was originally sent to…

1

u/Bennjoon 18h ago

This is so cute

-14

u/Squaretoebooted 19h ago

Didn’t smile- not first time seeing this on here!

-11

u/Holy_Nova101 19h ago

Don't you just love unoriginal posts. Like what's the point.

5

u/Elegianic 15h ago

Reposting could give people who couldn't see it the first time a chance to see it again :D

At least that's how I see it, I understand why it makes u a bit upset

1

u/Holy_Nova101 14h ago

I can see that for sure. Idk why, but I always perceived it as someone trying to get some easy Karma by posting something that's not connected to them at all.

4

u/Elegianic 14h ago

And maybe that was it, and if it was then u were 100% right, I just prefer looking at things in a lighter light :>

3

u/Holy_Nova101 14h ago

I do too, just not on Reddit. The majority got to me xD.

2

u/Elegianic 14h ago

Completely understandable lol
