Jakarta international post tsa water ban

Hello. I'm flying right now out of Jakarta to Sydney via Qantas. They had a bag shake down right at the boarding door. So any water you bought in the terminal had to be thrown away. Is this all international departing or just a Qantas thing? I had a similar experience flying Philippine Airlines Manila to Los Angeles, in that case I did not have that issue flying Manila to Seul or Taiwan via Korea Air and Eva Air. The later two didn't have the mini extra bag check for liquid. I have also flown Medan to Singapore and didn't have this via batik air.

Just a Qantas thing, I think. I have flown out of CGK literally hundreds of times and have never had this happen to me

Second to this. I’ve flown to SYD couple of times with Garuda and they never did this

have had this with Virgin and Qantas both out of Jakarta and Denpasar previously enroute to Australia.

Flew from Jakarta to Singapore via Scoot. Didn't experience this.

Experienced it from SIN to CGK though, if it matters.
