What are the best places (malls, outdoor bazaars) to shop at preferably near Thamrin in the city? Also are there any good places to buy designer dupes like Bali? What are other places to visit to explore the nightlife? Terima kasih!

For malls near Thamrin, Iā€™d recommend Sarinah. They sell handicrafts & clothes made by local artists/designers. But, you can also go to Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia. Grand Indonesia is huge and literally has everything. Plaza Indonesia is more upscale and has many designer brand stores.

If you want to find designer dupes, you can check out Thamrin City or Blok M Square. They have so many outlets there, including some selling designer dupes.

Nightlife, you can go to bars in Senopati/SCBD area.
