Click on Show Details and see if there's an option to get in via that. I think the problem is the site has a faulty security setup and your browser is simply warning you.

I have managed to click through to the site just now myself by ignoring the warnings.

i clicked on show details and it just expands the warning .. it's so annoying because when i search his name up on google i can literally see the archives but when i click into them this pops up. i'll try a diff browser or vpn and hope for something

When the warning expands, there will be an option to continue (near the bottom usually) - clicking that should get you into the site.

Using a different browser or VPN won't help as the issue is with the website's SSL cert, which has expired.

Security ticket expired. It's okay if you trust the website.

They let their SSL certificate expire. It happens. Shoddy web management but not necessarily suspicious unless you need to enter important personal details into the site.

Assuming it's https://www.militaryarchives.ie/ then the SSL is good until October 2025.

if you're just reading, not entering any personal information you should be grand so. good luck!

It's because it's using HTTP rather than HTTPS.

If you click Show Detail you'll get the option to continue to the site and will be able to see your Great Uncle's files.

It's probably your browser, try a different one!
