Politics Thoughts on Matuism?
matuism is a new ideology that calls for mesopotamiazing modern iraq by removing arabic , iranian and other influences , also expanding it to include all of the mesopotamian basin

I'm all for reviving Mesopotamian history and influence, but that would still include Semitic influences, particularly Arabic and Aramaic (Assyrian), and mainly those two. Southern Iraq is part of the Arab Gulf/Peninsula, and Aramaic has been in the country since Abraham and Jesus' time. It is similar to other ancient Mesopotamian Semitic languages like Sumerian and Akkadian. You can't have Mesopotamia without those two.

No, we are trying to fix the wrong matter here .. The problem is not that we are Arabs (this is western propaganda), the problem is that we do not accept how diverse iraqis are.. We should not focus on removing the Arabic language from Iraq.. We should focus on being more accepting of diversity, more educated and more economically stable
I think we should not make the Arabic language our enemy, I love the Arabic language, it is a mature language with a great vocabulary and grammar.. I have seen many languages that are not suitable for education because of their limitations unlike the Arabic language .. Having a large population that speaks it makes it a rich language
But I look forward to see the Assyrian/Mandaic /Turkmen language and the Yazidi language as official languages ( or recognised languages) in Iraq alongside Arabic and Sorani.. This would make these minorities feel that Iraq is their true homeland.. Those who are obsessed with posting on social media that they are not Arabs despite speaking Arabic and carrying the name of Arab tribes are, in my opinion, pathetic and do not know the difference between ethnicity and genetics .. What are the common genes between Uyghurs and Turks? However, they are one ethnicity.

As Assyrian i find this offensive to Iraq & makes no sense to support this bs to want erase a mosaic of Iraqi cultures. What makes Iraq unique is the shared history of all these groups Sumerian Mesopotamian Arabian Persian ottoman etc & their intertwined contributions. If you take away something like the Abbasid influence you lose Samarra’s importance. Remove any one group, & you erase parts of what makes Iraq historically rich . I have deep respect for Abbasid Age is a where Assyrians, Arabs, Persians, Jews worked together to produce groundbreaking achievements in scholarship, arts, sciences, philosophy ,astronomy, & astrology , medicine , literature & agriculture. Assyrian "Syriac" scholars played a crucial role in translating Greek & Syriac works into Arabic preserving classical knowledge & helped in laying the foundation for the Islamic Golden Age. Jews & Muslims also collaborated in fields like medicine, astronomy, & mathematics creating a shared intellectual legacy that shaped history.
Even Samarra’s Grand Mosque which i love (i hate the persecution locals feel there due milias checkpoints) imo i think the Grande Mosque design draws inspiration from the Tower of Babel & Assyrian ziggurats. architecture of Samarra reflects a continuity of Mesopotamian traditions that influenced Islamic designs. Hatra with its Assyrian influence, became a Arab kingdom & major trade hub & healing place for respectful funerary rites . Also Hatea had a mix pagans, Christians, & Muslims Jews all converged . Its architecture blends Greco-Roman, Mesopotamian ,Assyrian, & Parthian styles showing the interconnectedness of cultures.
Iraq has always been a meeting point for different religions and cultures pagans,Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, & Muslims, Mandeaans Shabak Marsh Arabs, Turkmen , Ottoman Arabs Assyrian Yezedi Iranian Turkmen , Ottoman Turks who exchanged ideas & enriched the region’s identity. syriacs Christians in particular, were instrumental during the Abbasid era, translating & transmitting classical works of philosophy, science, & medicine that became foundational to the Islamic Golden Age advances we still use in modern times were made during the era in Baghdad & Raqqa Syria . The worlds oldest Astrolabes were made & used in Iraq ( iirc they housed islamic museum Kuwait now) . Iraq is important for both Muslims Jewish & Christians going back to ancient times also when all of our groups converted . Iraq is home to some of the world’s oldest churches, monasteries, mosques, & shrines which hold immense historical & cultural value. These monuments represent the intertwined history of the region’s religious communities & shared heritage
This interconnected history is what defines Iraq & even Syria is as well. Erasing 1 of these contributions from any the groups strip the nation of its historical identity & cultural mosaic & diminish Iraq incredible legacy

I have different opinions on it
On one hand i don't want any outer influence in my country just like them. but on the other hand i hate nationalism and "المجد التليد" type of ideologies, they just don't see the negative part of our past, which is hypocritical.
So in conclusion it's just hot head teen ideology that i don't like nor want.

Rejected
This ideology is only popular on the internet by some weird and delusional fascists who dream of eliminating Arabs in Iraq. Ethnio-nationalism and Ethino-religious are the root of fascism.
We are proud of our state and the history of our ancestors, including Arabs especially during the Abbasid rule.
