Ukraine/Russia Chilling final words of pilot as 38 killed in passenger plane crash - with 'evidence' mounting against Russia

All 38 people on board were killed in the crash
...
This theory is further supported by accounts from surviving passengers who reported an external explosion.
These two seem to be contradictory

The very first sentences says “with 38 passenger and crew on board. All 38 died in the crash” but that’s just straight up false? There were 38 dead but 29 survivors.
This seems like a shitty source

Can't wait for all the Russia bots to come in denying this

I don’t think skepticism about whether it truly was Russia or not is wrong, especially considering nothing is confirmed yet.

How many nations can you name that have intentionally targeted civilian aircraft over the last few decades?
I can't think of any other than Russia (which has already done it multiple times).
Can you?

To deny the pilot said he hit birds?

u/GearBrain 19h ago
The article goes on to say that while the CVR did record the pilot talking about birds, he may have been mistaken. It also says that survivors report hearing an explosion outside the plane.
Also also, Kazakhstani officials are denying Russia access to the crash site or data recorders, strongly suggesting they don't trust the state to not lie.

Kazakhstani officials aren't exactly renowned for their trustworthiness either fwiw. At least not at the highest levels.

What do you think a jet engine sounds like when it explodes from its ingesting birds?
-19
u/GearBrain 19h ago
TIL jet engines can explode, but appear intact and not belching smoke or fire after the fact.
(that was sarcasm - go watch the ground-based video and observe the engines - neither looks like they exploded).

Oh man, you’re right! Someone should invent some sort of fire suppression system for jet engines! Also, everyone knows that when a turbofan jet engine is destroyed it explodes the outer shell, always, just like in the cartoons! There has never ever ever been a case where the fan blades were destroyed but the outer shell remained intact, I believe that’s right there in Einsteins theory of relativity! You are very smart, thank you for definitely being very correct.

wouldn't be that surprised if it was Russia tbh, just that airplanes go down and it's usually not accidental AA fire

Glad I'm not alone in trusting the judgement of a random Azerbaijani passenger over that of an actual fucking airline pilot. Just kidding, you were obviously dropped on your head as a child.

I mean, Russia has shown time and again that it cannot, in fact, be trusted to tell the truth.

And the US/UK etc have shown themselves to be so open and transparent. And ethical.

Why change the subject? If what he said is not true you can contradict it with evidence, instead of saying "Yeah but the US!!!". That is, if you have evidence to contradict.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
I'm not denying that Russia is shady. But people from most western states aren't in a position to stand on the moral high ground

That's your own view. In my opinion, anyone and everyone not only can, but must call out oppression and horror everywhere that they see it regardless as to where they were born. It has nothing to do with moral high ground or childish nationalism and everything to do with objective morality. If someone had said "Russia is always doing things like this, unlike the unequivocally just and moral US" then you would have a point in mentioning the west. But nobody brought it up before you did. The person to whom you were responding posted an observation based on fact. The Russian government has had and continues to have plenty of opportunity to render statements such as those false. We are all waiting but it has become enough of a trend as to be considered majority opinion. Just like the US government's constant lies, but again that is not what this article is about. My country's government is full of psychopathic liars JUST LIKE THE GOVERNMENTS OF RUSSIA, CHINA etc. but since this topic is about Russia, that is who is being called out. It's a really simple thing that should not bother anyone thinking objectively. When an article about nasty shit the US does is posted, comment away and I will be right there on your side.
I am not the US government, thank god. I just happened to have been born there. We can have an hours long talk about the atrocities perpetuated by the US government, but that is not what this article is about, and so whataboutism just distracts and weakens a position.,

We shouldn't jump to conclusions one way or another, but the pilot's words suggest a bird strike was the cause. Obviously that doesn't mean they were correct, but it isn't clear yet either way.

No one will do anything. Russia is allowed to destroy the world and we just have to watch.

If that’s the only counter argument to a Ukrainian drone strike than that’s worrying especially considering that it’s just a matter of setting the explosives to be remote or on impact. Anyone has intel on Russian anti-drone systems and how they operate?
There is skepticism over reports by Russian media claiming that the aircraft hit a Ukrainian drone, but this is disputed as such an impact would cause instant destruction. “A collision with an attack UAV would not have left shrapnel holes in a civilian airliner, but would have led to the destruction and fall of the aircraft immediately after the impact. Drones do not explode near the target, they explode upon impact with the target.”
