Dec 23, 2024 - Slovakia's prime minister is facing strong criticism from many inside Europe following a sudden visit to Russia. Robert Fico met President Vladimir Putin to discuss Russian gas supplies to his country and the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine says it will stop the transit of Russian gas beginning January 1, 2025, causing a major headache for the Central European customers, who are scrambling to find alternatives to the pipeline thats been flowing since before the war.
