SDF will go full on IDF on Syrians anyday now.

IDF is still torturing and killing the innocent civilians in Gaza.

The poor Syrians are next.

13

u/albadil 13d ago

Maybe the US can stop backing this PKK offshoot and let Syrians be?

33

u/BriskPandora35 13d ago

LMAO, good one. Asking the US to stop imperialism. You gave me a good chuckle with this one lol.

1

u/frenchsmell 13d ago

Bit more complicated than that good sir. Yes, they are radical leftist Kurdish militias, but they absolutely will fight for their existence regardless of US support. Also worth noting that US support is literally just air cover and making sure the Turks don't come slaughter them.

7

u/demon_dopesmokr 13d ago

Turkish backed HTS will try to slaughter them anyway, no? Turkish forces to the north, Turkish backed Sunni Islamists to the south. The SDF are in a much more precarious situation now. Syrian civil war is far from over it seems.

3

u/frenchsmell 13d ago

Being outnumbered and in a diplomatically impossible position is pretty much the MO of Kurds for the last half millennia.

2

u/Prince_Ire 13d ago

I'm not sure how well that will go for the SDF as the Turks hate them, have a well organized and modern military, and are literally next door.

0

u/[deleted] 12d ago

The Turks hate them? Then why has Turkey been supporting them?

2

u/Prince_Ire 12d ago

It hasn't, the US has been. The Turks have been supporting the SNA, a separate rebel group.

No, the support of western countries for the colonial apartheid state of Israel currently carrying out a genocide for "lebensraum" is the reason the "conflict" continues.

All you personally are doing is signal that you have no virtues, and are perfectly fine with a genocide.

there is one place in the world where around 10 million jews live in an arab country. its called Palestine. you are a supporter of colonisation and try to twist the arguments in your sake but fail to realise the obvious point you are making.

you are a genocide supporting, misinformation spreading troll.

Youre really evil and you can't see how awful you are. Youve been completely brainwashed and now you talk absolute bullshit

18

u/setiix 13d ago

You really should open any normal journal. Claiming that children being killed by small drones are used as shields, your brain is really really being full of propaganda. But hey, your family been holocausted so you should know that what the genocidiary power will use as tools to justify their deeds. Or maybe the victim of yesterday is allowed to be the murderer of tomorrow (against innocent people). You know Amnesty international declared, with UN that a genocide is happening at the moment in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing in West Bank. So be a man or a woman and accept the truth and fight for whats right. You family know what it is.

13

u/Foreign-Entrance-255 13d ago

Doesn't that historical fact about your family make your own support for genocide much, much worse? You know the pain echoes down to the present day but as it's not you being hurt this time it's "meh".

6

u/RasJamukha 13d ago

he doesnt have family that were victims of the holocaust because somebody who takes the holocaust serious would never refer to it as "being holocausted". it is direspectful to survivors, it is direspectful to the ones that didnt make it. this is just another feeble attempt of his at trying to gain the high ground.

Yeah, that's rubbish. The neutral international orgs agree on what we're seeing, the IDF have murdered all the journalists present and prevent the rest from entering independently but even so there's a tonne of evidence of what is happening. It's hardly a surprise, they've had an apartheid state for decades, they've already had huge waves of ethnic cleansing or "mowing the lawn" as they call it. The proud endorsement of genocide by the people and leaders of Israel is just the 🍒 on top.

3

u/Foreign-Entrance-255 13d ago

That's one of the debating points of all time, there are only about 20 million Jewish people in the world, there are what 100 million Arabs in Egypt alone? There is a system of apartheid for the Palestinians living in Israel and the occupied areas, top Israeli politicians and military leaders have admitted as much.

The ICJ are currently being threatened with terrible consequences by the only (if rapidly declining) superpower, they have threatened the families of the ICJ and ICC as well as consequences for any independent nation (including allies like France and Germany) if they act on ICC or ICJ warrants. Everyone is rightly terrified to stand up against this genocide in any practical way or put their head above the parapet if they're someone who works in the sphere of Influence of the US. This is the US's genocide just as much as its Israel's

5

u/samalam1 13d ago

I don't care what the idf claim, combatant or not this is still a war crime and israel claims palestinians become combatants as soon as they've left the womb so have another bit of proof.

If you don't have a punishment for going against policy then you don't have a policy. Is it sinking in yet?

Israhell backed terrorists.

u/fueled_by_caffeine 14d ago

Oh look American backed terrorists terrorizing.

25

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Been doing it for decades

6

u/Waybaq 13d ago

The real terrorists are backing small time terrorists, nothing new.

5

u/brainomancer 13d ago

The "demonstrators" are rioting because they hate SDF Kurds and want al Qaeda fighters to enforce Sharia law. The only "terrorists" in Syria right now are Sunni militant groups like HTS and ISIS.

-3

u/SirLurkelot 13d ago

Oh look, a tankie who'd rather see a country ruled by homophobic women-hating Islamists rather than a pro western government.

5

u/demon_dopesmokr 13d ago

didn't you get the memo? the radical Islamists (HTS) in Syria are the good guys now, and the radical leftist Kurdish militias (SDF) are the terrorists. lol.

1

57

u/PakYenz 14d ago

They (US, Zionist and NATO) will not let Syria be in peace. They all have vested interest.

-2

u/SirLurkelot 13d ago

True. Why can't the west just let crimes against humanity go unchecked? Just let the Islamists spread their violent jihad across the planet.

55

Proxy war version 3

-10

u/platp 14d ago

Those are not rebels. They are terrorists who changed their name from PKK to YPG, SDF and they are not in the rebel coalition at all. They have always fought with the Syrians and possibly never with Assad. Nothing changed. They are to be defeated. They are just an obstacle in front of peace for Syrians.

14

u/brainomancer 13d ago

The HTS "rebels" changed their name from al Qaeda and are composed of foreign fighters who receive foreign funding. The SDF are made up of Kurds who actually live in Syria and fight for democratic interests.

-12

u/ShiftingBaselines 13d ago edited 13d ago

Democratic interests my ass. They kidnap young Kurds and take them to the mountains by force to train them as guerrilla fighters. They rape their own women soldiers. Let’s not romanticize SDF. They are not democracy loving liberals. They are a Marxist-Leninist group. Average Kurd in Syria doesn’t support them and afraid that their children will be taken by force to make them soldiers. Only diaspora Kurds support them from the comfort of their homes.

Don’t take my word on it. Here is former U.S. special ops commander Raymond Thomas explaining it candidly: https://youtu.be/WPxrifmtlQI?feature=shared

29

u/JaThatOneGooner Kosovo 14d ago

Hopefully this is a nothing instance, because it’s not looking good for the crowd that said Syria won’t become Iraq and Libya 2.0…

-14

u/platp 14d ago

Don't talk about things you don't understand. It was always clear that SDF had to be defeated as well as Assad for Syrians to take back power. This is not new and it doesn't become new because you were ignorant to the situation. One evil defeated, the next one to go.

9

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Which Syrians should have power? I'm a bit puzzled by the comment. Is there a fighting force you believe is superior to the others or do you just want democracy for Syria?

3

u/levi_Kazama209 14d ago

In my opinion i would say negotiate with the kurds. I think by not allowing them into the coilition they just started the seeds for another civil war. If you want the least bloodshed this is how i would do it.

0

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Yeah they're gonna have to learn to get along or else.

1

u/levi_Kazama209 14d ago

They wont ive seen thr syrian reddit and they hate the kurds as well. I like how they call them U.S puppets bur ignore the fact turkey is also aiding the other side heavily.

3

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Yeah that Syrian National Army. Nobody looks good. Not either of them or HTS/Al-Nusra, or ISIS or the Syrian Army. Total clusterfuck.

3

u/levi_Kazama209 14d ago

Hopefully they can work it out my boss is from Syria and hes a great man why end a civil war only to go into another the only thing that happens is more loss.

2

u/StoopSign 14d ago

I'm worried it's going to be split into regions where Israel carves out a part for Greater Israel, Turkey carves out a part. The US is already there guarding the oil so they may carve out a bit for a US and Kurdish region.

Edit: Russia is probably going to have to abandon the bases it had to support Assad. It's already chaos and won't get better soon.

1

u/levi_Kazama209 14d ago

I highly doub the U.S really care emough they support a lot of things and people nog all of it for oil

2

u/platp 14d ago

The Syrian people Syrian people should have power. Not some foreign backed, foreign bodied organization which put claim to Syrian land because some small minority agreed with them. Why did you even need to ask this is my question to you. Why are you trying to act like Syrians are divided when a great majority of them are for the new government that is being formed? Why do you act like some minority should have some big decision power when you absolutely would reject that in your own country?

11

u/brainomancer 13d ago

Not some foreign backed, foreign bodied organization

You mean like HTS (al Qaeda) and ISIS?

-1

u/platp 13d ago

ISIS the scary word enemies of people throw around so they can convince people to act against the interest of the oppressed. Where is ISIS in this? Even if you claimed HTS is Al Qaeda, how do you even claim they are ISIS if your goal is not the scare people with lies?

USA aligned with and supported Al Qaeda at some point. Is USA forever Al Qaeda now?

5

u/bobdylan401 13d ago edited 13d ago

The majority of syrians want democracy, and to still live in a secular country with womans rights/healthcare, free college etc. What on earth makes you assume that they would prefer to install Sharia Law through violence under Al Quida other then pathetically nonsensical, cynical and racist US propaganda.

Their Arab spring wad meant to be peaceful protest, and never had a chance, became immediately disbanded because of foreign (western) imported terrorist agitators. Yea, Assad was shelling areas and killing civilians, but it was because the people in power right now were using chemical weapons and doing stuff like enticing kids to ice cream trucks loaded with explosives. It was a shit show, the US/CIA killed the natural “rebel” movement within weeks.

-1

u/platp 13d ago

Are you defending Assad too? Is Assad a victim in this to you who just had to kill the majority opposition because the opposition used chemical weapons?

I don't think Syrians need your opinion of what they want. They should have a democracy. But that democracy may not lead to what you want which is perfectly and absolutely fine.

4

u/eagleal 13d ago

It may be news to you but it's the same like HTS. The YPG/YPJ too is composed of people from Syria.

How it works is usually the leaders form a coalition with a democratic constitution provisioning elections with willingness at a fair and will to halt hostilities. And after said thing happens, and people have voted the whole forces move under 1 chain of command that is appointed by said constitution.

2

u/platp 13d ago

And after said thing happens, and people have voted the whole forces move under 1 chain of command that is appointed by said constitution.

This will never happen with USA puppet terrorists YPG, SDF. They will never agree to releasing their occupation and power.

And YPG is Syrian? YPG is as Syrian as any terrorist group hijacking a countries internal struggle to gain land would be. They are PKK who saw an opportunity to take Syrian land from Syrian people. They probably do have a minority support but so would have any terrorist organization.

13

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Yes. Good. To be clear. Fuck the US. Fuck Israel. Fuck Turkey.

-6

u/platp 13d ago

Yeah include Türkiye with the oppressors of this world to confuse the oppressed to opposing them. Türkiye is the country who hosted Syrians the most and who helped Syrians defeating Assad the dictator. But fuck Türkiye too because why not confuse the masses against their own interests?

A Syria for Syrians is in favor of Türkiye since we are sister nations with them. Our interests align. So even if we act on our own interests, we want the good of the Syrian people. Unlike the evil of Israel and USA.

1

u/StoopSign 13d ago

I mean you've got a point but I think the stability of a baathist govt kept the lights on in Iraq and also Syria. It should've been left alone. Now we have Jihadis who are about to take power. If HTS/Al-Nusra fights it out with the SNA I would support the SNA but right now the SNA is fighting Kurds. It really seems like the Kurds are a thorn in the side of Turkey that they want to rid and I'm not sure they could take power. I'm not even sure it's their goal. I think the goal of all nations is to balkanize Syria. I agree Turkey has more of a right to be there than the US and Israel. FFS the US is propping up Jihadis again. They've done it before. I'm always mad at my govt.

-4

u/brainomancer 13d ago

It was always clear that SDF had to be defeated as well as Assad for Syrians to take back power.

Nah. The U.S. should enable the SDF to eradicate HTS from Syria by whatever means necessary.

1

u/platp 13d ago

What do you want here? Are you for the oppressors or the oppressed? I can't imagine anyone saying USA should back terrorists in a foreign land to be for peoples rights.

1

u/brainomancer 13d ago

Sunni are not "the oppressed." Your wealthy overlords in UAE and Qatar are not "oppressed." Your handlers in London, Washington, and Israel are not "oppressed."

Dec 13, 2024 - US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) open fire on demonstrators in Syria’s Raqqa

At least six people were killed and others injured on Thursday evening in a shooting carried out by members of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) targeting demonstrators in the city of Raqqa in northern Syria.

The protesters are demanding the withdrawal of the SDF and the entry of fighters from the HTS-led “ Deterring Aggression” faction, who operate within the Joint Operations Room.[MEE]

3

u/TheNewIfNomNomNom 13d ago

I honestly am in the dark on something... & pardon, bc very real & deep challenging life circumstances had me consumed by surviving for awhile there...

But why did Israel go on the attack all aggressively, suddenly, since Assad was overthrown?

Perhaps this is too complex to summarize, I realize.

3

u/landlord-eater 13d ago

The Syrian government had large stockpiles of weapons and military equipment and just imploded. Israel did not want those weapons and that equipment to be taken by factions who might use them to attack Israel or sell them to groups who would.

1

u/TheNewIfNomNomNom 12d ago

👌 Kudos on the succintness - appreciated!

9

u/StoopSign 14d ago

The US media is doing a full court propaganda press showing only people dancing in the streets and not the bedlam of several factions backed by various countries warring with eachother. This is occurring while Israel has dropped 480 bombs on the Syrian Army and the US has also been bombing positions within Syria.

14

u/OrderlyPanic 14d ago

SDF really shouldn't hold territory like Raqqa and Deir Ez Zor where the majority of the populaton are Sunni Arabs. They are occupiers in these places.

-4

u/Efficient-Umpire9784 14d ago

Is it essentially a buffer zone for the coming civil war?

3

-3

u/KhanTheGray 13d ago

Turk here…These people have been shooting civilians in Turkey for years, we tried to tell the world they don’t care about Syria or the locals, they just want to use Syria as a springboard to launch attacks on Turkey but Europe insisted on romanticizing them.

They also broke their promise to not use modern weaponry they took from USA against Turkey.

They were not part of anti-Assad coalition and they care for no one other than themselves, this is why this is happening.

I expect a major clash between them and other groups. In the end they will lose though. They can’t even last a week without US support.

1

u/demon_dopesmokr 13d ago

You are right to expect a clash. Turkey has been committing massacres against Kurdish population for decades and won't stop until it has genocided the lot of them. Turkey and their HTS proxy will definitely try to remove every last vestige of the SDF from Northern Syria.

0

u/xarjun 13d ago

This is the US. Again. Their proxies, the IDF and now SDF can't help but expose themselves.

3

u/small44 14d ago

Also remember that Kurdish want to create an ethnostate like Israel and Israel is supporting them

9

u/platp 14d ago

Small correction. Majority of Kurds have nothing to do with them. They are Kurdish but they are not the Kurds.

7

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Yo. I did some work for a Kurdish organization. I like them and support them and honestly in a better world I believe they should have a state. The Kurds in the Kurdish-American organization I was affiliated with absolutely wanted a Kurdish state.

-3

u/platp 14d ago

I hope you don't support the terrorists PKK, YPG, SDF just because some Kurds were nice to you. They are horrible oppressors who killed thousands of civilians. They denied Arab peoples right of return too. I hope the people you said were good weren't supporting this evil.

In a better world we would all live in peace and liberty under one single and fair organization with local governments.

2

u/StoopSign 14d ago

Oh I became deeply conflicted because of their materials. I think the culture is cool but not their paramilitaries

1

u/SirLurkelot 13d ago

What is it with you people and not wanting ethnic minorities to have their own land? Are Arabs the only ethnicity with the right to self-determination in the Middle East?

1

u/small44 13d ago

I'm for unity not separation and I encourage Arab countries to not ignore the ethnic groups histories, language and culture and to promote it.

Even in the West there's not enough effort to maintain a diverse population that inrich the culture of the country. Like where I live in Quebec, the separatism movements act like the first nations don't exist and just keep talking about protecting the French language when it's the aboriginal languages that are really at risk

Also most Arabs are Arabs by language not by ethnicity.

1

u/SirLurkelot 13d ago

I'm for unity not separation and I encourage Arab countries to not ignore the ethnic groups histories, language and culture and to promote it.

Spin it however you want. That sounds a lot like Arab supremacy to me. Some people don't want to live under the thumbs of others. Most Arab countries are essentially ethnostates yet you have no problem with their existence.

Also most Arabs are Arabs by language not by ethnicity.

This doesn't even make sense. Arab is an ethnicity. There are Arabs in the U.S. who don't speak Arabic.

-3
