Only way to force change is to dive deep into the abyss. Or continue to kick the can down the road as it slowly veers right. No matter the path the end is the same, only the time to get there changes.

But anyways i wont be shamed into voting for a pro genocide candidate, I will vote 3rd party. I'm tired of the same shit every election year. Vote D or everything goes to shit! D's are 1000x better than R's but D's are still a 1000x from where they need to be.

I am so afraid this what needs to happen. I know its will screw so many people over. But i have to ask...is it honestly any better? I remember that woman in Texas and her abortion. Nothing changed,Biden didn't even fight for it. The democrats cry about rights and blah blah but they have no teeth or back bone. Even further i don't think they would learn or things change with another 4 years of trump. Sadly it will need a generation to die off.

The only way to force it is to stop voting for the Democrats conservative nominees they force through the primary. Only refusing to vote for their terrible candidates can fix this. We should only be voting for candidates we actually like, the whole "strategic voting" thing makes the system not work right.

That being said this probably isn't the right time to do that with Trump being the other one.

But since Biden keeps sending millions to kill Palestinian children I just don't know if I can stomach supporting him.

Not if Trump gets into office. I don't want to support Biden for his actions wrt Israel either, but I'd also like to not become a dictatorship. I fucking hate that our electoral system has forced us into this.

People keep saying Trump will form a dictatorship. But how does he accomplish that? Will it happen in a vacuum without the Americans having a say?

Something I've wanted to ask for a hot minute now... Isn't Trump coming in and trying to create a dictatorship the best "alarm" for the regular Joe and Jane to wake up and go to the streets and finally reclaim their country/democracy? Maybe a Trump presidency is what finally starts a grass root revolution that turns US into the bastion of democracy they claim to be. Or is the risk too large?

There are articles upon articles of people talking about how he would accomplish it. Republicans are pretty open about wanting it now.

If he gains power, it would be about military support. If he has the support of the military, they can quash any opposition pretty fast. The "alarm" has been ringing for ages, but Republicans don't care, they want this. They are trying to make sure the rest of us don't care either through disinformation, voter roll purges, intimidation and disenfranchisement. Biden helping a genocide isn't exactly doing wonders for his campaign either.

America has not been the bastion of democracy it claims to be for a long time.

Well guess someone better get to work getting non voters to vote or you’ll get Trump.

Because I’m not actively going to vote for a genocidal party.

People need to stop thinking all politics is at the presidential level and concentrate on state and local elections
