Joe Biden was the main reason Bolsonaro did not manage to coup and Lula got to be elected and take office

That’s not a good thing. Biden stood up for Lula because he knows he’s a liberal. That’s why he’s preventing Venezuela from joining BRICS and has attacked Maduro as an authoritarian.

The thing is there would be no way that lula would not endorse biden after that, specially when the opposition is US' Bolsonaro.
Of course, biden did not support lula just because he likes 9-finger guys, but the obvious move of lula would be to reciprocate.
That’s why he’s preventing Venezuela from joining BRICS
For Brasil POV, it is only good to accept other latin countries on brics if brasil's position in it is indisputable.

because Maduro did almost play-by-play what Bolsonaro tried to do. he cannot support one and attack the other.
being called a CIA agent by a high ranked Vzla officer didnt help.
in the end, Brasil did not denied Maduro's reelection, but did not recognized it either.
I believe Lula is too lenient with USA and doesnt give enough importance to BRICS, but overall his foreign polices are OK.

Not really. An agreement was signed between Guyana and Venezuela and Maduro promised to not invade even with all the fear mongering of a possible invasion.
The more likely reason is that after the election Lula has attacked Maduro as authoritarian and demanding proof that he won even though that’s not his business.
Maduro also responded back and attacked Lula. Ties are not great between both nations at this point.
However, this should be irrelevant. Even if Lula hates Maduro joining BRICS directly helps average working class Venezuelans. Him being against Venezuela joining directly hurts the working class of Venezuela and is honestly a big fuck you to the Venezuelan working class.
