Question Indy 500 questions. Tickets, E Stand, and RV Options

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to attend my first Indy 500 this year, and I have a few questions. I’ve read in some posts that resale tickets tend to become available around March—does that sound accurate? Should I buy tickets now to ensure I have some locked in, or would it be better to wait?

I’m particularly interested in finding tickets in E Stand. I realize those are some of the most sought-after seats, but is there a realistic chance of getting them on resale?

I’ve already booked a hotel, but I’m also curious about RV options for future races. Is it possible to rent an RV spot and have a company deliver the RV to the track so I wouldn’t have to drive it? I know it’s probably too late to arrange something like this for 2025, but it’s definitely something I’d consider for 2026.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not sure about having the RV delivered to the track but note that most RVs are not parked within the track but the Coke lot and other lots nearby. As for E Stand, if you are looking for a pair of seats there you will have to spend $450ish per ticket but you can find them on the secondary market. Those are the most sought after seats with the shade and the incredible view of the action. My race seats aren't in that section but I sit there during qualifying. I enjoyed sitting in turn 4 in the NW Vista in the past so consider those if you want to sit in one of the corners.

The best route for you is to order tickets from the Speedway AND find Stand E seats from the aftermarket this year. IMS favors repeat buyers, so get that tenure started now, and you can request an upgrade next year. It usually takes a few years to get into the sections or rows that you want, but after that they are your seats as long as you keep ordering them every year.
