I wonder if the whole Andretti reshift changed his future plans. I hope nothing but the best.

Well, Andretti now has an F1 team. May as well go train against F1 talent if that's going to be an opportunity.

The year is 2030, F1 veteran Colton Herta takes rookie and fellow American Sebastian wheldon under his wing as they look to secure Cadillac’s first world constructors championship

he'll be coming to NXT once he tops out in F2-F3
(not a knock on his talent but a knock on the glass ceiling of the Formula ladder)

I don't know. What Wheldon has that many other drivers do not have is solid backing and a lot of it. Driving in junior formulas its all about be connected with the right people and having enough money to do what you need such as replacing parts or refreshing them. I think Wheldon is talented but with the backing he has it helps his efforts 10 fold if not more.

glass ceiling of the Formula ladder
I’m confused what you even mean by this. Yeah some drivers just don’t have the talent to get to F1, no shit?

If we are talking purely driver development which is seat time, competition and opportunity. This is great for Wheldon.
More races than USF2000 would offer, against tougher competition.
Wish him all the luck and success there
