“””allegedly””” looks pretty hot to me.

Getting major C8.R vibes from the roofline/rear quarter area, but the rest is pretty standard Ferrari.

Maybe a bit of Lambo in the headlights and the swan neck rear wing mounts.

What do you think, is the 296 GT3 hot or not from this angle?

Here's hoping the turbo V6 sounds good

The V6 in 296 GTB is basically a chop block V12, the exhaust is very close Ferrari V12.

V6s sound better, are much lighter, more compact. Americans need to let go of 60s technology.

Sound better? No way. Last time I checked Ferrari still uses V8s anyway🤷‍♂️

Update: Confirmed this is the next challenger and will be the first Ferrari racecar built by ORECA

I appreciate how true it appears to be to the street car. In the same way as I appreciate the McLaren for that.

But this is not a very good looking car. It's getting rather bulgy, Lamborghini-esque.

Yeah, this is my problem with Ferrari. They have their 458 family, which to me is what a Ferrari is (as well as the Enzo and LaFerrari - I'm not talking about classics) and the 512, I think? But then they have a whole bunch of other cars that don't share any design with the rest of them, except the Badge.... and then I wonder whether they have a lead designer of 50 separate designers, each with their own ideas and just let everything that hits the wall, stick..

Sad to see the 488 go :( it's doing so well! Why get rid of it?

Tbh i gues i am one of the few who doesn't enjoy the looks too much.

I find it really ugly... Ferrari is meant to shout luxury - the 488, even in GT3 trim, had elegant curves and sexy 'eyes' (lights), but this.... what is this even? To me it looks like they took the silhouette of a Lancia Stratos, gave it some curves, took the roof of a Ford GT, then if you look from behind, the design of a Lotus Elise, where the roof extends along the sides, but not over the engine and then took the front and rear bumper from a different Ferrari peoject and slapped it all together with Red paint...

Are they keeping the hybrid system?

u/TigerWizard Risi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 #62 Apr 12 '22

No, the GT3 version will have the hybrid system removed

Not allowed

It is almost like Corvette copied Ferrari than Ferrari used the switched card on chevy and took some cues from them.

Use a V10 or V12 in the 296 GT3. Lol

Reminds me of the Ford GT

Do these camouflage liveries actually hide anything?
