Water is a HUMAN RIGHT!!😤

6

u/AdA4b5gof4st3r My piss is clear 1d ago

Water is required to live and I don’t know if you’ve noticed but the right to live is a bit of a contentious issue in this day and age 😅

5

u/GiveMeMyIdentity 1d ago

If they want us to work to our passing, then they should at least give us basics for free

3

u/AdA4b5gof4st3r My piss is clear 1d ago

no doubt. But they never have, and they likely never will.

4

u/GiveMeMyIdentity 1d ago

Yeup. it's annoying

91

u/m1stadobal1na 2d ago

My parents are on a class action lawsuit against Nestle, for stealing the ground water that feeds our well. There's a really great picture of my stepmom standing up and screaming at a nestle rep at a town hall.

-12

u/_TurboMan 1d ago

My dog is also suing Nestlee

33

u/aliendude5300 2d ago

Only because Nestle is evil. Purely taste-wise I think Dasani is awful.

14

u/Squirreling_Archer 2d ago

Totally agree and think it's by far the worst bottled water.

However ... I recently discovered Dasani in cans, mostly due to being at a summer event where that was the only water available, and all of the bad flavor I've always associated with Dasani was missing. Canned Dasani was totally fine, neutral tasting, drinkable and refreshing. I was shocked. Something is wrong with their bottles, man.

10

u/spacestonkz 2d ago

Dasani, now flavored with micro plastics.

1

u/IIrisen225II 1d ago

that makes sense since all i can taste in dasani is plastic

4

u/TywinDeVillena 2d ago

Taste-wise, the worst I've had is Corconte, and by a country mile

4

u/aliendude5300 2d ago

Can't say I've tried that one

3

u/TywinDeVillena 2d ago

Nearly impossible to find outside the Castile and Leon region.

1

u/Noncreative_name04 1d ago

Have you tried the new Dasani? I think it’s an improvement, but I also didn’t hate Dasani before so maybe I’m not the best to judge lol

1

u/aliendude5300 1d ago

I haven't.

1

u/GiveMeMyIdentity 1d ago

My daughter loves Dasani and just because of that I deem it acceptable

3

u/_TurboMan 1d ago

Spring water

2

u/itzsommer 16h ago

If I use nestle for bong water is it better or worse than nestle bottled??

2

u/AliciaTries 2d ago

The water isnt gross, the idea of giving money to nestle is

1

u/DasKittySmoosh 1d ago

I came here to say the same - hydro homies know what's UP!

1

u/AxeHead75 2d ago

Agreed. Dasani is second. Why the fuck are you putting SALT in water

3

u/Tybick 2d ago

They stopped doing that now

0

u/dudestir127 2d ago

They put salt in water? Salt in water is why they tell you not to drink from the ocean.

7

u/AxeHead75 2d ago

It’s the quantity of salt in the ocean that’s the issue. Salts are electrolytes. HOWEVER, Dasani tastes like straight up ass to the point it was a MARKETING POINT TO SAY THEY STOPPED PUTTING SALT IN THEIR WATER

3

u/AtomicSymphonic_2nd 1d ago

Also all those wonderful bacteria and protozoans swimming around in the ocean water, too. Those typically aren’t good for you.

2

u/cremasterreflex0903 1d ago

Plants crave electrolytes

u/MistaRekt Sparkling Fan 2d ago

WTAF is Nestlé water? I know it is a company, why exactly do we hate Nestlé?

11

u/Kolz 2d ago

“In a 2018 study, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) estimated that 10,870,000 infants had died between 1960 and 2015 as a result of Nestlé baby formula used by “mothers [in low and middle-income countries] without clean water sources”, with deaths peaking at 212,000 in 1981.”

Just to be clear, this wasn’t accidental, nestle marketed to them extremely aggressively, including with free samples. The thing about free samples of baby formula is that you stop producing milk after a while of it not being used, so they were tricking women into stopping their own lactation so they became dependent upon formula that used unsafe water.

0

u/MistaRekt Sparkling Fan 2d ago

That is 197,370 average for all those other years, not much of a spike.

You have a source for that?

2

u/positronik 1d ago

This doesn't have those numbers, but it does go over their involvement. Basically they convinced the moms to go with baby formula by giving it to them for free. Then they stopped giving it for free, the mothers couldn't afford the formula, and by that point they weren't producing milk anymore so babies died.

6

u/Dr_N00B 2d ago

Evil ceo

0

u/MistaRekt Sparkling Fan 2d ago

And Dasani is bad because Coca-Cola is evil too?

5

u/Dr_N00B 2d ago

No, dasani just tastes bad, always has

1

u/MistaRekt Sparkling Fan 2d ago

Not sold in my country. No idea.

1

u/positronik 1d ago

They use child slave labor for their chocolate. They also legally steal water from communities and then sell it back to them. At one point they had a CEO that said water isn't a human right. Their subsidiary, Purina, has had contaminated food multiple times over the years that have killed pets.

Here is a good Wikipedia article on some of their awful behavior: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversies_of_Nestl%C3%A9

u/iverson6631 2d ago

Nestle is toilet water

9

u/chelwithaseachenchen 2d ago

That's an affront to toilet waters everywhere

54

u/Finalshock 2d ago

Bong is a great answer tbh

26

u/wafflestep 2d ago

Flint, Michigan is still very bad

33

u/iyamyuarr 2d ago

The water from a box just taste like box to me

8

u/imadethisforcomics 1d ago

Some of us like the taste of box.

7

u/iyamyuarr 1d ago

Some boxes are better than others

Dasani

22

u/Squirreling_Archer 2d ago

Copying my comment from elsewhere, for visibility so other fellow Dasani haters can also know...

1

u/fire_buds 2d ago

I’ve had it in cans just as nasty. Tastes like Costco water but with an aftertaste

Best part is it was half frozen from sitting on ice in the cooler so imagine if it was warm or room temp I wouldn’t have been able to finish it

Bottles have a big role in taste and even people who buy expensive waters can’t seem to understand.

Fiji changed their bottle distributor and now all their water from any store in person or online tastes weird unless you pour it out into a glass. For this reason I stopped drinking Fiji

I’ll throw my personal least favorite water and it will be controversial. Topo Chico. Too much carbonation and tastes too spicey. I’m not a huge fan of sparkling water but would never pay any premium for Chico

1

u/NSE_TNF89 1d ago

Tastes like Costco water but with an aftertaste

Do you dislike Kirkland Signature Purified Water? I don't like to drink water from plastic bottles, but if I do, this is my go-to.

Also, I agree. Topo Chico is overpriced and not that great. Plus, it has among the highest PFAs of all bottled waters (sparkling and still).

9

u/TheShadowK 2d ago

But they took the salt out!

9

u/StarfishStabber 2d ago

That stuff tastes like puddle water.

2

u/rosecoloredgasmask 2d ago

Still tastes like I'm drinking the bottle

12

u/Phlebbie 2d ago

Bong water is definitely the correct answer

9

u/chavo81 2d ago

Arrowhead

1

u/nerd101liz 1d ago

100%, tastes like dirt

4

u/G-M-Cyborg-313 2d ago

Nestle water.

3

u/MaintenanceBack2Work 2d ago

Regina tap water, harder than granate and funky as hell.

2

u/eatpant96 1d ago

Man,it is so fkn nasty. I buy Whistler water whenever I can. Water should not be my delicious treat. Our water sucks.

3

u/puffferfish 2d ago

I agree, fuck nestle, fuck Aquafina. But have you ever drank from a drinking fountain at the beach? It tastes like they literally pumped the water in from the beach!

3

u/jweb92 2d ago

Hot dog flavored water

1

u/ozzalot 2d ago

What about chocolate starfish water?

3

u/ibangedurmom69420 2d ago

Hot take: Dasani isn't terrible, and Aquafina is worse than Dasani (I'm just used to drinking Dasani at this point though)

6

u/benhereford 2d ago

Well water takes some getting used to.

7

u/throatimpaler 2d ago

Aquafina

-1

u/iverson6631 2d ago

No way Aquafina is better than most bottled waters

9

u/Somecivilguy 2d ago

Sure. If you enjoy drinking pool water.

2

u/thevaguearchive 2d ago

heavy water

2

u/Sixpacksack 2d ago

Ozarka water is crap, i hate it unless it's the only thing and I've been breaking a mad sweat, then i cant deal with it, also i think it's nestle so obligatory fuck nestle

2

u/abused_blade 2d ago

Still water

5

u/buel_man2008 2d ago

Those who know

0

u/MagmaWyrmGodfrey 2d ago

Sparkling is utter ass.

2

u/corinnigan 2d ago

Dasani tastes the worst, Nestle is the worst

1

u/flamingos408 2d ago

A triple shot a gnac with a chaser of bong water

1

u/L3g3ndary-08 2d ago

I can't believe I didn't see this yet.

Really warm water from a playground water fountain on a 100 degree day has got to be the worst water ever.

1

u/armchairplane 2d ago

Used water

1

u/Bulky-Captain-3508 2d ago

There are so many chemicals in our city water that you can smell it when you turn the tap on...

I'm still going to go with Dasani.

1

u/hanksrocks 2d ago

Orange County tap water.

1

u/zero_excluded 2d ago

Dish water

1

u/Ununhexium420 2d ago

Weatherford texas tap water. That shit tastes like rags no cap. It even affects local food chains that don’t filter water in their soda dispensers.

1

u/ozzalot 2d ago

Bong

1

u/thegritz87 2d ago

RealWater Alkaline concentrate is pretty bad.

Pre-recall, at least. Ask chubbyemu.

1

u/pakistanstar 2d ago

Anything from Nestle

1

u/dabomm 2d ago

Bongwater

1

u/TheHillionaire1017 2d ago

Love wegmans, hate their water

1

u/socalfuckup 2d ago

safeway select refreshe...easy

1

u/No_Corner_2576 2d ago

Easy. Arrowhead

1

u/mystrile1 2d ago

When I was in Vegas I found the tap water unpleasant to the taste but apparently it's very healthy.

1

u/Impressive-Dog13 2d ago

Spicket water in any major city.

1

u/LightSweetCrude 2d ago

Box water. Freakin water out of a milk carton Awful.

1

u/DanSavagegamesYT 1d ago

California water.

Supposedly to "save" water, we are now using sewage and pumping it back into our homes to drink.

1

u/KartRacerBear 1d ago

I'd prolly say that I cannot drink tap water from any place here. I remember growing up in a small town before and tap water was fine, but the moment I left that town it always tasted AWFUL.

1

u/AlexTheRockstar 1d ago

Gotta be day old hot dog water yeah?

1

u/DamagedEctoplasm 1d ago

Bong water with the scooby snacks is a super valid answer

1

u/elpato11 1d ago

Hot dog

1

u/bohemianprime H2Ohh yeah 1d ago

I know it's not gonna be the top nastiness, but Luke warm water in a plastic cup is pretty rough imo

1

u/Educational-Ad-787 1d ago

The experience of drinking tap water from Guelph, ON is something I wouldn't wish even to my worst enemy. I worked at a place that had a fancy filter that actually worked well, so I bought the biggest bottle I could find and would fill it at the end of every shift to take home, because I was getting dehydrated bc I would avoid drinking that disgusting water

1

u/SgtMatters 1d ago

Bong is a good answer, but did you ever try Gerolsteiner?

1

u/smokinsomnia 1d ago

Tap, or Nestlé. Same thing.

1

u/Consistent-North7790 1d ago

Dasani or Deja Blue

1

u/222lil 1d ago

Water in styrofoam cups and office cooler water are so gross to me 🤢

1

u/jsrobinson9000-2 Elixir of Life 1d ago

City of New Orleans tap water

1

u/k1loup2 1d ago

Hmm as far as water I’ve come across personally…. You’ve reached a whole new level of thirst when you’re drinking out of your toddlers water bottle

1

u/Ilaxilil 23h ago

Creek water

1

u/Spy_crab_ 22h ago

Warm plastic bottle water, I'm talking left in the sun for hours and already tasted terrible because ot was 'made' by Nestlé.

1

u/lisakora 13h ago

Tap from southern Georgia. Smells like sulfur

1

u/cuckholdcutie 2d ago

For sure. Also Dasani is the worst

1

u/AgreeableField1347 2d ago

Dasani sucks but can anyone explain to me why Dasani water bottles smell like absolute shit when you expose them to outside air?

0

u/elisejones14 2d ago

Denver tap water

2

u/Altitude528O 2d ago

As a Denver native, I beg to differ. There is nothing crisper and more refreshing than Denver tap water in the winter.

Though, I beg you to try Tucson, AZ tap water. Absolutely awful.

2

u/saucy-Mama HydroHomie 2d ago

As someone who moved from ohio to denver

Yes denver tap water is actually pretty decent especially in winter!

2

u/elisejones14 2d ago

Because you’re used to it. Go from northern colorado to Denver and it’s swamp water.

0

u/Sweaty-Dimension4186 2d ago

Dasani or tap water

0

u/PrehistoricPickle 2d ago

Dasani/ Aquafina should be stopped immediately. Absolutely disgusting

0

u/PhoenixDude1 2d ago

Depends, bottled is Nestlé/Dasani, but then you've got like well water in a glass which can be touch or go depending on how sulfuric it is and if the water softener is working right. I'd rather drink sparkling water than hard water.

Objectively though the worst water is thick water. Maybe not in taste but in the absolute sin it is for existing.

0

u/JaQ-o-Lantern 1d ago

Sparkling water is the worst water in my opinion

You sound dehydrated, have some water about it friend.

2

Can we ban this one? Clearly not a homie

1

u/NexLuz 2d ago

Ooooo time to scram before the police come
