🍉 Palestine will be free Palestinians in Gaza say Israeli drones use loudspeakers to play sounds of crying babies and screaming women, deliberately luring people from their homes. Once they step outside, the drones reportedly attack, killing those who emerge and sowing terror among residents.

This is beyond evil and depraved. This is horrific. People have literally written about monsters who mimic voices to lure victims. Literal manmade horrors beyond our comprehension.

I feel like if I read a comic book where the villains did half the stuff Israel is doing to the Palestinians, I'd think it was too over the top evil to take seriously. It's just evil for evils sake. They don't want to just genocide a people. They want everyone around to know how monstorious they can be to them too.

I can only imagine a nuke is coming. It's the only thing left on these vile bastarsa to-do list.

The only reason they wouldn’t use a nuke is to simply prolong the suffering.

This is absolutely awful, but it is a couple of months old isn't it? I remember that they employed this tactic and reading about it about 6 months ago or so I think.

Regardless, I feel like we've kind of exhausted the option for this war to end as an appeal to emotion. I knew people would be indifferent to Palestinians, they have been for the past 50 years, but I thought it was mostly due to either people not knowing about it, or just not having seen the injustice towards Palestinians. At one point I even doubted myself, since I do come from a Muslim background and a father who is so left on the scale that he was part of the independence movement to free themselves from a tyrannical state; and my doubt came from my "demographically homogenous" friends telling me over and over again that I was brainwashed and anti-semetic. Turns out my dad knew a thing or two about a violent military regime committing genocide over my friends and their families who grew up in Europe.

The reason I feel why I feel empathy no longer works is because at this point, footage from Gaza is unavoidable. We've seen the grieving grandfather carrying his grand-daughter's lifeless body and refusing to let go, doctors who are working non-stop for days only to break down from hearing that his entire family has been wiped out, the herding of Palestinians to refugee camps only to slaughter them in place. And it's met by indifference or malicious laughter that "this is what they deserve". It's gotten to the point where even someone like Pierce Morgan, otherwise known as scum of the earth, even asking what the end-game here is and to what point you can pursue this. But nothing happens.

At that point, I'm not sure how one can make a case for compassion. It's like begging a psychopath for mercy. If money goes unchecked to Israel to prop up drones with assault rifles and imitate baby sounds to lure out people, doesn't elicit any emotional reaction I'm not really sure what can. I've honestly had people who said how inhumane carjackings are that fake out having an emergency to get people to stop and leave their cars, because it "manipulates our human desire to help". At the same time, an example like this isn't however awful enough to warrant your absolute disgust? Wild.

I think this heinous escalation has only proved that we have absolutely no influence in certain categories of politics. In my country people have had massive protests every week. Nothing happens. I'm so fucking disappointed, we used to be a country that used to stand up for massive injustices globally, a prime minister who gave absolute 0 shits about what the US dictated what our opinions should be, forefront to aid anti-apartheid movements in South Africa financially, talked about how awful the Vietnam war was, and least but not last he was out criticizing Israel's action way back in the 70's. And it lived on for a bit after his assassination, we were the first EU country to recognize Palestine (as far as I know). Then we became a fucking political wet blanket, but not even a wet blanket, in the UN vote for a ceasefire in Gaza for huminatarian we forfeitted our vote. Like even in this forum we couldn't just, as many fucking countries did, at least vote for a ceasefire in Gaza. Even here we were fucking cowards. A fucking betrayal to Palestinians, but also what a fucking betrayal to the political legacy that this country has had in standing up for people who are brutalized and massacred.

I'm so fucking disappointed, angry and sad that my country doesn't give a fuck. I feel so small when I keep hearing these stories and keep seeing an erasure of resilient human beings as Palestinians happening on my screen every day.
