Free Palestine 🇵🇸 Lizzie Greenwood, the hunger striking activist, was arrested and detained before being released without charge

I’ve been following her Instagram since she was posted about here and just saw this. Does anyone have any more information??? They kicked her door down.

Starmer and his new government do not represent workers interests and are in fact enemies of our class. It's past time we begin organising a substantial left-wing movement in this country again.

For most people, being given orders to take punitive measures against your fellow citizens on behalf of a foreign state would raise a few issues of conscience - but obviously not for the type of thick cunts for join the police, and apparently not for the self-styled ‘King of the North’

They're not class traitors for nothing.

They don’t like it when you call them all bastards, but then they all go around being utter bastards.

State intimidation tactics obviously escalating here.

In the service of a foreign, apartheid regime and against own citizens.

Do they think we will all go gentle into that good night?

Think that’s pretty much the plan yeah

So just arrested as an intimidation tactic then. ACAB

Not only intimidation, they can prosecute them if they break the curfew and other conditions - regardless of whether or not those conditions were fairly imposed.

I think that is part of the reason why they started imprisoning JSO protestors - they got arrested so often they literally stopped caring. A lot of people hate JSO and see them as a nuisance but they are doing way more than just standing in the streets achieves 9 times out of 10. Same with the group that raided Elbit ... actually googling now to see if there are any updates on them

Not just that, they also had their personal effects lifted.

That’s what I want to know! Seems like there was no reason beyond her being a pro-Palestine activist

u/Amy_JUSH_Winehouse 19d ago

She’s not even said anything outlandish another bs case by the police whilst they ignore nonces

Sounds like it's just a dragnet operation, and simply being a prominent activist put her on their radar and under suspicion. It's fucked

I might have gotten confused about whether she was released yet or if that part was referring to the other activists who were detained. If anyone knows more please comment!

They had to kick her door down and arrest her after she had spent a month starving herself? Brown shirt behavior like this shouldn't be tolerated, traitors of the people won't be remembered fondly.

Right??? Like, I’m sure it took a whole gang of armed dudes to subdue this half starved woman in her parents’ home /s

On what grounds?? I don't know anything about this situation besides this post, but busting into homes to arrest someone who's just on a hunger strike doesn't seem legal AT ALL. Cops being cops I guess.

If this is how they treat peaceful protestors, what motivation do people have to remain peaceful?

Anyway, just asking as a hypothetical. I would never break the law. Now, does anyone know how you say "deny, defend, depose" in Arabic?

35 days is a respectable fast, well done to her!

Obvious intimidation tactics by the filth.

Would be interesting to see what a lawyer would say, can Police really just impose these things without any charge?

Cunts.

Apart from the general disgust, since when do English mayors have the power to grant police any authority?
