Seeking Advice: Should I Accept a Role in a CA Firm While Preparing for CFA Level 2?
Hello,
I am a CFA Level 2 candidate with no prior work experience in the finance domain. Despite consistent efforts, I haven’t been able to secure a role in core finance-related fields yet.
Recently, a contact has offered me an opportunity to work at a CA firm, focusing on areas like income tax filings and auditing. While this isn’t directly aligned with my long-term goal of working in private equity or as a portfolio analyst, I’m considering it as a way to gain some experience.
Would it be wise to accept this role while preparing for the CFA Level 2 exam? Or should I continue searching for finance-specific opportunities? I’d appreciate any insights or advice.
Thank you!

It's better to look for finance specific roles because when you have experience relevant experience matters the most. And CA firms in a season can be too hectic while studying.
