Video SF90 Stradale Accident
In the video you can listen to some saying how no one is allowed to record. Why would that be? Would you say it’s because insurance or because they plan on selling it forward or simply just because of shame?

Idk but I’ll tell you this. that dude needs some driving lessons.

Not an accident. He drove like an asshole and crashed.

u/fvckconfetti Aug 26 '24
Check out the guy in the green shirt—he’s definitely being a jerk! He’s swatting away everyone’s hands while they’re just trying to help.

u/DonGibon87 Aug 26 '24
Usually they don't want people recording this so they can lie to the insurance.

u/Ohgetserious Aug 27 '24
“I was parked at church, and this elderly woman backed into me and then drove off without noticing.”
14
u/PrimitiveThoughts Aug 26 '24
He seems like he’s part of the crew getting the strangers away.
6
u/fvckconfetti Aug 26 '24
Yeah most definitely but if it the situation was a bit worse (fire) those were the same stranger who would’ve risked their life to help the dude in the car.
5
u/Novel_Land9320 Aug 26 '24
Maybe he s the actual owner of the car...
6
u/fvckconfetti Aug 26 '24
Prob would be riding copilot or wouldn’t even be there
3
u/Novel_Land9320 Aug 26 '24
Maybe, i was trying to understand why he was so committed
7
u/fvckconfetti Aug 26 '24
It’s probably a family member or friend being overly helpful in a stressful situation. You can also see the guy inside covering his face with his hand, suggesting the others are following the driver’s lead to block recording, while the guy in green pushes through and doesn’t bother hiding at all.

u/Akaicrow Aug 27 '24
He even threatened some news media and journalists for them to take down this video from their pages.

In a scenario like this they have no authority to tell you not to film lol

I've done a lot of stupid shit in my 296, It's insane how it instantly and accurately it corrects my mistakes. I can tell you it's near impossible to crash the latest gen Ferraris like this unless you turn all the systems off (as in going the the red "ESC off" mode, even in the orange "CT off" the car will prevent you from doing something overtly idiotic).

When I bought my first Ferrari, the dealer straight-up told me, “If you turn that button off, expect to die.” Two Ferraris later, and I still haven’t touched it! This video definitely makes me feel like I made the right decision. I’m all for pushing the limits, but I’m pretty sure “ESC off” would be the end of my driving career—literally.

Too many people have watched some YouTube videos and they're like, oh I need to turn off all traction/stability..

Money cannot buy driving skills. 😅

u/Soytaco Aug 26 '24
It can, actually, most people just choose not to make that investment lol
12
u/jeremyvr46 Aug 26 '24
For sure, you can take classes etc. I just meant that’s it’s not because you’re rich and buy a fast car that you (automatically) can actually control it properly! :)

Guy filming has an Argentinian accent
Edit: nvm. I don’t think it is.. It may be the DR actually. They say like 5 words total but pretty sure it’s not Argentinian

u/RemoteTurbulent7434 Aug 27 '24
Just read an article about how the DR is the deadliest place to drive then see this lol

Bro is driving a 1000hp Ferrari like a Toyota corolla.

As someone who hasn’t gotten his drivers license yet, what do you mean? Like he accelerated too quickly?

Maybe is a tax expat in the country when he was not meant to be there
4
u/FerrariEnthusiast Aug 26 '24
Welp he did that to himself. But glad he is ok. Will learn a lesson for life.
2
u/c74 Aug 26 '24
i got the vibe that this guy will not learn from this.
i find it hard to think highly of people who don't know what the right time and place is for shenanigans. it most certainly not the time and place with pedestrians and other cars in traffic... and with people filling their cars at the gas station he crashed in front of.
so frustrating that it is a small number of idiots that give some people the impression all car enthusiasts are selfish twats.

Once upon a time before you bought one, a Ferrari dealer took you on a test drive to make sure you could handle one. Today, if you got the time, they got the beer. You can’t just floor it in one of these without repercussions. 🤡🤡
3
u/No_Eye1723 Aug 26 '24
Hahaha knob. When you discover flooring your 1000hp supercar in race mode, and it bites back and your skill level to control it is zero.
3
u/RonnHabibi Aug 26 '24
This happened in my country. For context, these cars don’t have insurance, the Z plates are for politicians (tax exempt) and that one was being driven by an artist/entrepreneur (politicians sell their tax exemption for 75-90k and the car must be registered with them for a certain number of years before they can “sell it” to the actual owner.

Yeah, one of the many typical corrupt acts under the umbrella of goverment employees.

u/BrianOconneR34 Aug 26 '24
Seems like you have throttle punching down buuuut we have a few more things to work on.
2
u/MOH_7XD Aug 26 '24
That's why ferrari is being restricted about thair cars because of thase idiots who just don't know how to drive

u/Johnnyfireblade Aug 26 '24
When you have half milion for a car, but you lack 5k for racing school.

Around here it’s usually a dummy in a rental who thinks it will handle like their souped up civic.

Only for some (probably) crypto douche to total it.

I have no sympathy for idiots who drive cars with the driving aids turned down or off and then crash, particularly when they do so on cold tires or on cold street surfaces. Play stupid games...

Complete asshole, hope Ferrari decides to not extend him purchasing privileges again. Crashing off a track is one thing, a genuine 2 car accident another, but stunting like this in s built up area and losing it through next level stupidity unforgivable, how the cops got the videos and threw the book at him - ‘hey boss, made my monthly ticket quota last night with one incident, bwahhahhhaaaahaaaaa

Why did they turn right while full throttle? The lateral g force was limited by wheel spin from acceleration. Was this a student driver? It just odd they don't understand fundamental physics and car handling but can afford the car.

Hello, I was present when the accident occurred. The owner of the vehicle owns a car dealer called AutoMAP. The one who was asking not to record was a friend of the owner for insurance purposes. Here in the Dominican Republic they do not insure this type of vehicle unless you are a very prominent businessman, I own a Porsche GT3 and it was a nightmare to get local insurance. These types of vehicles have international insurance which does not cover if the accident was caused by reckless driving.
The avenue where the SF90 was driving (Lincoln avenue) is a very frequented avenue by exotic vehicles, Ferraris, Lambos (Huracan, SVJ, etc.). Mclarens, Porsches, etc. This avenue is the closest thing to an “exotic car show” that you will see on the weekends. Many of these vehicles/videos are shown here ( https://www.instagram.com/luxurytoysdr/ ).
Any questions, feel free to ask

One time I did an (paid for) exotics cruise where you each get to drive one of 4 exotic cars. While I was riding with the pro he said every time someone had wrecked one of the exotics in all his years, they had turned the traction control (TCS) off. I bet this guy turned the TCS off.

Unless your name is Schumacher, Hamilton or The Stig do not turn off the tractions control.

Drove like a moron, and went into a telephone pole. Same as a teenager leaving fast and furious in a civic with a muffler delete going into the median. Funny because the sf90 is arguably the easiest new Ferrari to control due to it being all wheel drive, imagine if this dumbass was driving something rear wheel drive like an 812, f8 etc.
