Modding Rate (Roast) my F1 Track
Was bored at work and decided to make my own race track in my hometown Arkhangelsk. Track length is about 6km. What’s your opinion? I’m thinking making a map for Assetto or something from this.

That looks like the result of an incestuous relationship between Baku and Singapore while Miami was watching from that Hotelchair

Lance Stroll rain nightmare fuel

Which is ironic considering the circumstances of his pole at Turkey in 2020 and the fact that he probably would have won that race had he not picked up random damage halfway through the race.

Ngl that was a monster race by him. Then again the pink Mercedes was also a monster car until Christian Horner whined and complained so much the FIA gutted their technically legal developments over that season.
I am one of those weirdos that thinks Lance is a better driver than he gets credit for, but he needs a competitive car. He has had some damn good races, but just can’t keep it consistent in cars even his better teammates struggle in.

Yeah I think he gets a ton of unfair hate. When the car was competitive last year, the beginning and end of the year, he was up there. He got really unlucky in 2020, caught COVID during the middle of the year and missed a race or two and struggled after he came back, and then had a massive crash somewhere afterwards that I think shook his confidence and might have had some physical impact due to having had COVID.
That's not to say he doesn't do dumb stuff because he clearly does but he's clearly a talented driver when the car suits him I think. It seems like he's a lot like the Pirelli tires. He has a very narrow operating window and when he's in it he's as good as anyone else but it doesn't take much to go outside of it. And of course the circumstances of his being in the sport don't do him any favors.

Perfect summary. Like remembered he had a stellar drive with a broken hand at one point too.
I know this sounds silly, but I REALLY do hope Newey plus that new state of the art wind tunnel help them build a damn good car.
I may be a Williams fan, but I honestly love the idea of Lance being able to take it to Max. That would be so satisfying to see.

Honestly I just can't wait for the mental breakdowns from all his haters if he ever actually wins a race because I know he won't get credit for it. People who just spout the hurr durr Lance bad memes all day probably don't even know about Turkey 2020. Even Latifi was OK in 2021 and scored points and wasn't so bad compared to George as compared to 2020.

not much straights, especially for a street circuit
im thinking that overtaking gonna be very hard

Too many straights, too many slow corners and too many "inchidents" waiting to happen

You dawg I heard you like 90° corners, so we put some 90° corners in your 90° corners.

Way too many slow corners and as someone else said, I'd sooner DNF or even skip this if it were a race. City tracks tend to always be boring and annoying for both racing (on Sims) and watching on TV.

I’m sure they’ll squeeze that track in after Sochi if you got mazepin to advertise it…..

to many corners to even remember during a race, I do like the length but you have to use more high speed corners and not tons and tons of sharp turns, will be hard to drive without a map

If your city has only 90 degree corners (most cities in the world basically)then it's not good for racing

u/LegalEmployee9 Nov 14 '24
true, but who wasn’t dreaming about a race track in a city you’re living in😅

Get rid of those crazy turns in the middle of the track and just make a very long straightaway that would put some adrenaline

Assuming the southern straight is the starting straight, T1 could provide an overtaking opportunity and most importantly, Chaos on Lap 1, T2-T4 would be a really slow section and not very dynamic but I'll keep it for T1's sake, T4-T8 is a bit more dynamic and the corners are a good medium-low speed, but the hairpin absolutely kills the flow, T9 could be eliminated, T10-T14 is also very slow and not dynamic so I'd eliminate them and just have another straight, T15-T19 I don't really have much of a comment, looking at the streets I know there's not really much of an option to have other types of corner, T20-T23 Again just a really slow section that kills any dynamic, T25-T30 I'd just delete it and connect T25 to T30, would shorten the track and give a faster laptime, No comments on T31-T33.

This looks like Baku, but worse. I know I’m retiring the car on practice 1.

I live in Moscow so would ask if you could make one for Moscow if possible. Track is good but could use some work

What the fuck? This looks like something the FIA would create and replace SPA with.

best no longer have races in fascist countries
2
u/LegalEmployee9 Nov 14 '24
you’re just cancelling every person who lives in the country you don’t like? that’s a shame
1
u/Vegetable-River-253 Nov 24 '24
No let’s cancel fascism. People supporting fascism suck. Like most Russians. They have a shared responsibility for what happens in their f….. up country.

I d rather DNF the whole weekend than to play it.
