Handpainted, I Think She Likes It!

Piggy is 25 and still loving life, her owner's stepdaughter is a great artist and gave them this for Christmas, I think it looks amazing!

Fun fact: this is loosely based off Steven van der Meulen’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth I (called “The Hampden Portrait”).

As a note, the portrait had traditionally been ascribed to van der Meulen; a more recent attribution suggests George Gower (Town, Burlington Magazine, 2020) as the artist.

This is like the portrait Anne of Cleves sent to Henry VIII when he was looking for a new wife. When Anne showed up for the wedding, she didn't really resemble the portrait anymore because the artist had omitted her smallpox scars.

Your iguana (?) Is going to show up for her royal wedding and everyone will have been expecting a crocodile.

I believe that is a lizard. There are many lizards in Nigeria. My great grandfather was a great warlord in Nigeria and also fought in a civil war. As a result he was given a nice plot of land. But then he moved to Thailand and started an iPhone company.
