Those shows stopped airing 30 years ago. Wtf is he talking about

Yeah I mean if he can’t come up with a contemporary example, it seems like the point he is making no longer applies.

A culture that celebrates a criminal and wannabe dictator over an extremely accomplished, capable, and intelligent woman -- twice.

Oh, wait . . .

Megyn Kelly Ann Coulter said she wouldn’t vote for him because he’s Indian and he’s just now realizing they don’t like immigrants. I genuinely don’t understand how his brain functions.

Edit: I mixed the two pundits up

Ann Coulter said that directly to his face and he thanked her for having the courage to speak her mind

Thank you for slapping me, I appreciate you having the courage to attack me.

This is partly why I don't think the fairly substantial gains made among most ethnic minorities made by the GOP this cycle will carry over in the long run.

The MAGA coalition on immigration is white people who mostly want all immigration heavily restricted and people of color who support certain "good" immigrants. Somebody is going to be upset.

They're overreaching (the GOP) because they think those shifts are permanent and they're taking it for granted.

Lmao telling white america that their culture doesn’t value education (a line they love to use against black communities) is not a long term winning strategy against MAGA

Vivek, you are a tool them, and I’m not even sure what your use is. They will gladly cast you aside before any real introspection

this is my only joy and hope in this next administration, is that they are as stupid and incompetent as seemingly advertised.

This really does show that these dudes have never gotten over being bullied for being perceived as “nerdy”. And now we all have to suffer.

Nerd culture becoming mainstream is probably the one of worst things to ever happen. Just a bunch of ppl upset they weren’t cool in high school and is now making it everyone else's problem.

Nerd and geek cultures were co-opted first by corporations and more recently that corrupted culture was further co-opted by Bannon and Yiannopoulos with Gamergate for politics. The laudable aspects of 1990s nerd culture were buried and the poisonous aspects were encouraged

Nerdom before it was commodified was accepting almost to a self-defeating degree. It valued: Curiosity, DIY over consumerism, privacy, freedom to tinker, acceptance of neurodiversity, non-sports pastimes without aggression/violence/toxic competitiveness, bodily autonomy, cultural subversion, self expression, books over movies and function over aesthetics and play over profit

TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: There were always extremely problematic aspects to nerdom, too. Self-pitying misogyny is at the top of that list. But when Madison Avenue, Hollywood and Wall Street co-opt an alt culture to profitize it, the bad aspects aren’t touched and only the parts that can’t be profitized are purged. You can buy a Funko Pop Gundam no problem, but there’s never been a better place to nerd out with a diverse group of people while no one says anything about your nervous stimming than during a 1990s BBS computer meet-up

Basically it was around the time a subsection of the internet became convinced Star Wars was never political and the prequel trilogy was always well-received. Even though it absolutely wasn't and George Lucas was explictly telling a story about how democracies fall from within.

I will try so, so hard to resist making a "Did I do that?" joke once Elon and Vivek's actions cause a recession or worse.

Vivek Ramaswamy is a walking stereotype who hired his mommy to try to game FDA clinical trials so his $300 million IPO wouldn't go bust 5 minutes after launching.

Vivek, Byron Donalds, and Lindsey Graham need to start a Self-Hatred Caucus.

First of all, for all his flaws, Cory became a better person because he had Mr. Feeny in his life as a teacher

Is the C word actually two c word? cost control?

Because the only reason you hire immigrants to do a job and American can is because cost of living is so much cheaper in their country than the US.

That's it. Culture has zero to do with it.

The H1B thing isnt a left or right thing though. At the momen, the tech job market is horrendous, especially on new grads. Talking about bringing in H1Bs doesnt exactly inspire confidence when lots of local tech workers are struggling to find employment.
