They’re posts/comments made simply for amassing Karma, with little to no regard for actual interactions.

The most common ones are made by meme reposting bots and comment bots.

Usually when people/bots repost older posts from subreddit that got a lot of upvotes, with the same title and everything, in an attempt to get easy karma
