DAE have rather detailed knowledge about a game they've never played from watching YouTube videos?

I experienced this with BTD6: I am able to name every upgrade and what it roughly does (maybe not the mermonkey) but I have never bought the game.

Also this with a game called Nova Drift: I knew about most of the meta builds and all of the upgrades before I bought the game a few months earlier. Also btw it's a really fun game and you should check it out

DAE feel psychologically stunned?

emotionally, mentally, idk. as if you're permanently shocked, paralyzed. like in a "i'm done" way but also just... loopy, I guess? and when the world reminds you that it didn't stop spinning, you just feel... like you're forced to be here but there's no way you can decide anything because you're just frozen.

things stopped making sense a while ago and while you can somewhat interact with some people and find some joy in stuff, it's all very shallow compared to this... shock. you're broken beyond repair.

DAE prefer to enjoy things alone and not interact with communities?

I'm sure I'm not alone in that, sometimes, I prefer to enjoy things in isolation without feeling the need to discuss them with larger fandoms or communities. For me, it can enhance the experience because I don't worry about gatekeeping or people who might take things a bit too seriously. That's not to say that I don't sometimes enjoy group discussion about shared interests, but often, it's more enjoyable to just read/watch something on my own, have my own opinions, and that's that. I just find it really uncomfortable when people go too far with sexualizing woman characters or overanalyzing every little detail.

What do you think?

DAE get nauseous or motion sickness more frequently as you age?

Seems to me that compared to 5-10 years ago I get nauseous way more often.

I have always been a carsick person but can tolerate short distance trips in the past. Nowadays even a short taxi ride would occasionally make me uncomfortable.

Similarly I have been brushing teeth to the molar for years, only until last 3-4 years I start to develop nauseous feeling when I try to brush the very back. I know brushing the back makes some nauseous but it was different for me as I didn't had such issue in the past.

DAE feel really upset during “intimate film scenes?”

I’m really confused right now. I was watching a movie with a group of people I am very comfortable with. An inappropriate/ intimate movie scene came on and I panicked, I felt really disgusted and was trying to find the control to skip it. Everyone told me to calm down and it’s normal, but I felt so sick. I felt angry. I just wanted to cry. Everything about it make me feel icky. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve had bad experiences, or because I’m religious, or because I’m insecure in myself. So weird. Never happened to this extent before.

DAE sneeze when you think of arguments?

Just as the title says...

You know when you're daydreaming of an argument or fight or maybe you're thinking of being sassy to someone who wronged you 10 years ago and play the whole scenario in your head?? Does it make you sneeze? I end up sneezing at least 10 times when I do that...

DAE just dread the holidays for some reason?

Idk if it has to do with my seasonal depression and where I live is always cold during Christmas but I just dread the holidays. I could be surrounded by loved ones and eating the best food but something about the holidays is lonely and depressing. I also hate Christmas music it makes my ears feel like they’re about to break. Tell me I’m not the only one plzzz

DAE have acid reflux from anxiety?

I have a concern…. Does very severe anxiety cause acid reflux? I didn’t really payed attention till now but In the past maybe more than one month I have what I think it is acid reflux every day. It’s not constant or severe it happens for few seconds at a time then disappears and can appear again after few hours. Most often a bit after I eat. It’s this burning feeling travelling up my throat bit like I said it’s not constant. I don’t think I get heartburn because I don’t have what is described (the pain like feelings behind chest) just the burning feeling. Sometimes i also get hunger pangs even after I eat but again nothing severe.

I am super anxious this whole year to be honest. My biggest fear is cancer and i am jumping from one type to another and it’s really hard for me not to think about it first when I develop a symptom. I know it’s probably all in my head but it’s really not helping me that very day something is popping up…. Now the acid reflux…. Obviously my first thought is stomach cancer and I’m super afraid…. This is all I think about 24/7… i don’t know if acid reflux is even a symptom because I read that acid reflux can cause it over time but I doesn’t says it’s a symptom… on Reddit tho people say it is and now my head went mad…

I tried to explain it to a doctor but I guess he is alredy tired of my anxiety and is not taking me seriously… he said I’m too young for this (I’m 23) and because I don’t loose weight, vomit, have fatigue or have persistent pain (or any pain at all) he will not even consider testing. My recent blood work was also perfect.

Like I said it’s alredy more than a month and the symptoms are not getting worse… some days are better but it’s pretty consistent I will say. I read somewhere that if it’s cancer it’s supposed to get worse with time but idk my brain is in a very bad place and I can’t enjoy my life anymore. I’m not depressed nor I have suicidal thoughts on the contrary I’m afraid of dying that why I’m focusing so much on this type of illnesses. I have scheduled psychologist appointment but it’s not soon since now it’s holidays. I asked my mom and she said sometimes she gets this burning feeling but not every day… that’s why I’m super worried and don’t know what to do.

I’m trying to menage the anxiety but it’s definitely not working and every time something start to hurt slightly or I get a bit of cough etc.. my brain jumps to cancer and that’s all I think about. I’m tired of waking up from nightmares every single night and this stupid reflux now is causing even more anxiety….

Now… I’m healthy weight if not a bit underweight, I play sports and all my life I was eating healthy, although in the past one year my diet has worsened due to uni, stress and work. I started eating a lot of chocolate and instant noodles and drink coffee on empty stomach… but it didn’t really caused anything until the onset of this reflux. Now I’m at my parents and I eat homemade food but still happens… I don’t drink often (more like once a month small amount) and I never smoked or took any drugs. I do have laxative abuse ( dulcolax and Epsom salt) due to past eating disorder but I’m slowly managing it. Also my water intake is very poor some days I only drink one small cup of water.

Any suggestions? Can all of this contribute to acid reflux or my symptoms sounds like cancer? Should I push the doctor more? Any tips will be highly appreciated.

DAE zone in the shower for a long time (25+ minutes)?

This has been a habit ever since I was a kid which pisses me off and worry my family. I do this for a minimum of 25 minutes after I bathe almost every night. Normally, I don’t realize how long I’ve been in the shower until the water turns cold or when someone knocks on the door.

I am not sure why I do this. I do have ADHD so maybe that's the reason, but my siblings have ADHD as well and they do not do this. I can not stop myself from zoning out no matter what I do. It’s going to be tough when I have to start paying bills. 🫠

DAE have way less energy after finishing college?

I’ve noticed that my capacity for just about everything has gone down significantly after I (23F) finished college and started working. I work a standard 9-5 and don’t have a lot of responsibilities outside of work and paying my bills. In high school and college, I would go to class, study, be involved in several organizations at a time, have a very active social life, and put a decent amount of time towards my hobbies too, all of this without much of an issue. Starting two years ago (months leading up to when I finished college), I’ve noticed a sharp decline in my energy levels when I’m not at work. Most of the time I don’t want to do much but lay in my bed, and while I do feel like I have more free time than I did when I was in school, it’s like I don’t have the energy for things like social events or hobbies anymore like I used to. It puts me in a weird cycle of feeling a little unfulfilled at times from I not having a solid lineup of things I do for pure leisure, but struggling to get myself to actually get up and DO those things for my leisure and fulfillment.

I’m not really sure where this shift came from. There is no particular event that I can attribute as the cause for this either. I can’t tell if this is normal for people transitioning into young adulthood, or if this is something deeper I should look more into with a professional.

Would appreciate any insights or encouragement!

DAE want to do something but at the same time don't want to because it's a thing that goes out of your natural routine?

I find this extremely weird as I get extremely eager to do something that I genuinely like but don't do it for a while because it goes out of my normal routine.

DAE feel like they can't ever think of anything creative?

I've been feeling like this for a while. I used to draw so much, writes thousands of poems and now I can't think of a single fucking thing to put down on some paper. Nothing ever comes to mind, and I'm fearing it's going to be everlasting.

DAE have frequent noises coming from your throat and chest.

I am not sure when it started but I always get these weird noises from my throat. I've seen other people describe it as a frog croaking noise in your throat. It's this weird gurgling that comes at least once every 10-30 minutes. Sometimes the sound gets trapped and it ends up making a noise in my chest. It's not a burp and I can't seem to control it. I'm pretty sure it has to do with gas but I don't understand why I am the only one that seems to deal with it. I'm a college student and it's frustrating when you're in a quiet room full of people and all of a sudden your throat makes this weird noise that the people around you hear.

Does anybody else have their skin occasionally sting?

Every once in awhile I get this pin prick feeling across my entire body. Usually when my allergies and sinuses are bad. I can move and function normally but the skin itself hurts to touch in random spots and there's a general sting/ache across the entire body. It usually goes away in a day or two. Not COVID or the flu as I tested. I think it might be from sinus pressure.

DAE get pooped on by birds all the time?

I'm currently 19 years old and I have been pooped on by birds about 30-40 times in my life. You're probably assuming that I'm someone who spends a lot of time outside, but I'm not. I'm actually the complete opposite. It's extremely frustrating. Some of my friends have witnessed it happen many times. What the hell even are the odds of this??

DAE just not care about family?

This Christmas season I’ve realized that I don’t enjoy spending time with my family. I didn’t have a bad childhood or anything and they aren’t mean but I just don’t connect with most of them at all. My parents always want to do things with me and my siblings and it’s just so difficult to pretend to enjoy it. I guess I just don’t really value family. I don’t see how being related means much. I prefer being around people who want to be around me because they like me, not just because we are family.

Edit: I am 18 and I know “everyone is like that at that age” but I have always been like this and it’s just getting worse. And most of my friends my age genuinely enjoy spending time with their families. I really only connect with my dad and a few aunts and uncles. But with everyone else in my family i just feel numb to and have no real connection with.

DAE plan errands so they don't travel on the same road twice?

For example, yesterday I decided to do something I've been putting off that was way out of my way, only because it would let me turn my trip into a big loop instead of going out and back on the same road.

DAE think women are far more social than men?

I mean like whenever girlfriends meet they seem to get along immediately or atleast pretend to. However when men meet eachother they might make small talk but they seem far more standoffish. This goes for relationship maintenance too. Like men don't seem to make the same effort to maintain friendships.
