Plumbing Help identifying bathroom sink part

Added some pictures of the old part that came off today. Any help would be appreciated!

Measure the diameter of the head and buy a new slotted Basin Waste from Screwfix. They are cheap and easy to fit.

Do away with the foam washer that sits between the trap and the sink and use a good quality silicone. I’d also recommend to get a seal kit and do away with the original seals.

Diameter is the same. With the photo you gave, I would say you need a slotted one (basin with overflow). He is right with silicone (clear) instead of washer, but you could do it either way.

Correct, most standard basins require a basin waste with a 1 1/4” BSP thread. However, Screwfix lists these based on the head diameter (typically between 60-66mm). Since each basin has a different recess to fit the head of waste, it’s best to choose a size that matches closely.
