Oh I thought people leave them until new years. Beautiful place!

Taking down Christmas is always a New Year’s Day project for us! Something easy but productive to do while hungover.

We are usually the same. I’m just enjoying the last couple of days. The tree and lights always create such a calm and cozy ambiance.

It’s local tradition to leave exterior lights up until (usually) the second week of January, so we get to enjoy them for a little while longer.

Yes, traditionally they stay up until the Epiphany.

Lovely ✨ We always leave ours up throughout the 12 days of Christmas! 🎄

Are there an official twelve days? I’ve always wondered…

Yes! Christmas Day is day 1 and runs its course from then to the Epiphany/Three Kings Day.

We keep ours up until the end of January! That gives us two months of coziness

I leave mine up well into the winter with no shame. It makes the house cozy and less depressing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am doing this for the first time this year. I usually take down on New Year’s Day but it went so fast this year I can’t bear to. I will take down at the end of January.

Yes, I like this plan. And who doesn’t need a little extra joy and fortification heading into 2025?

I plan to keep mine up through January bc I always do. I hate when Xmas ends

Absolutely! I like to have the lights early (October) since the days start getting really dark then and then leave it like that until my birthday in February. Life is short! I need more sparkle!

Huge room. Do curtains spread enough to cover windows
