What dish is this called?

Post image

I rewatched senko-san again, for the 5th time this year, and I drool each time I see this image from the anime, and I really have to know what it’s actually called. And where I can get it.

I don’t remember, but I call it the Senko Dish because they have more or less exact measurements and a recipe

Some kind of Gratin. Basically, you boil potatoes, make them puree, season it with spices, cream and cheese, Mix well, then you put half of the puree in an oven proof container, then prepare the filling which is generally grounded meat with vegetables which you cook. The way the filling is done is left to preference but it should be moist and creamy. Then you put the other half of the puree and seal it well. Finish off with more cheese on top and to the oven to cook until golden brown. As all ingredients are already cooked, there is no need to cook it for long.

The dish it's in is called a Casserole.

The dish is potatoes au gratin. Basically scalloped potatoes baked in cheese.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a hot bake. A very popular dish in the Midwest United States.
