Recommendation Fillmore VIP parking?

I bought my wife and her friends tickets to a concert at The Fillmore for next month, and since I don’t think they’re very adept at driving around Charlotte, I was thinking of getting them VIP parking. But the site is very vague and just says it’s next to the parking garage… what exactly does that mean? Is it just the surface lot around that garage behind AvidXchange? Is it worth it, or should I just let them figure it out when they get there?

It’s not worth getting. The parking lot is literally across the street, and there are lots of signs pointing the way. Parking payment is done through a website where they’ll scan a code and enter in their license plate and add a card for payment. If they go to VBGB across the street and buy a beer they’ll validate the parking so that it’s free.

This. There is a lot surrounding a deck. I think for big shows they use the lot in front of the deck for VIP parking. Just park in the deck. You cross the street and walk 100 feet and you're there.

Do note even if you validate at VBGB, you still pay first online as suggested, validation at VBGB just cancels the payment.

Parking is super easy. I'd just tell them to park in the deck. You scan a QR code on the sign behind your parking space and you pay online. It honestly couldn't be easier.

You can shell out the cash for VIP parking if you'd like, but I've never found it necessary.

Don't pay extra for VIP. Fill out the info to pay when you park and you can validate at VBGB to park for free.

Schedule them an Uber X. No parking, door to door transportation in comfort, can drink and not worry and is a baller move.

I work part-time at The Comedy Zone in the NC Music Factory, and I’ve heard plenty of horror stories about the parking situation. Issues range from high costs to problems with the app or QR codes not working. It might just be the parking near The Comedy Zone, but I’d recommend using Uber or Lyft to avoid the hassle.
