So who is morally grey and leaves fans divided?
Alexis won this round! Also happy Christmas! (Merry Crysler ;p)

Slaughter, for sure.

YESSSS I 100% did not like him but some people do. And he has questionable methods of interrogation

I would argue that slaughter is a horrible person, but I personally think he’d be great for the next category

Honestly, Castle himself came to mind first. But I'm not super involved in the fandom.

How is he morally grey?

Neither Castle not Beckett are morally grey IMO, they do sometimes questionable things but usually for a good cause, and their hearts are in the tight place, always.

I feel like that was my takeaway for the entire show so I'm honestly not sure where to start.

I've seen kate hate, and personally, i understand it after watching the mentalist where lisbon and jane have a bond. kate whines to castle a lot and acts jerkish, but she is still my number 1 on castle

She did take a while to come around to Castle, which strange for a secret fan of his. When it’s the love of your life, it becomes clear a lot sooner than that.

in her defence, Castle was an insufferable jackass in season 1 who constantly broke protocol and made inappropriate comments often, personally wouldn't appreciate that either even uf he was my fave writer

What about Alexis leaves fans divided?

She's a spoiled brat who basically ran over Castle & Martha. I blame the two of them as well.

u/okieman73 2d ago
Yeah she did a little too good of a job playing the spoiled brat too. She was really good most of the time especially early on but in the last couple of years the writers didn't really do her many favors.

I don't know...I'm just waiting for the "good person-hated by fans" to vote for captain Victoria Gates!

Espitos the first that comes to mind. Wasn't the biggest fan of him as a character but had his moments

Interesting, I loved all of the core characters, I really liked how espo and Ryan played off of each other. Each to their own I guess.

Esposito for sure

Explain?
1
u/Right-Complex-4042 Ryan 3d ago
Well, how I look at it is that yes, he's a lovable character, but I see alot of mixed feelings on him. PARTLY because he's a little rude to others on the team. Which in a way people can see it as him being not as "morally correct" as others.

u/Alaskatastesthestars 3d ago
That’s interesting. I always thought his snarky comebacks were just a part of his personality. I wouldn’t have thought to consider it being tied to his morals

u/Right-Complex-4042 Ryan 3d ago
Usually I wouldn't either, but then I try thinking about the other options, idk he just sounds like the best option for this colum. 🤷♀️

He's also a skirt chaser and acts unprofessional anytime a woman is attractive.

Castle's dad Jackson Hunt.
