Am I understanding the announcement correctly that it's being replaced with dockless ebikes? Do we know when that will happen?

Lime was one of the stops for Biketoberfest this year and they mentioned that their rollout of the ebikes began that very day. I've seen the Lime bikes pop up in the app now, but I haven't seen any bikes from Bird.

If they're the ones I'm thinking of I believe the rollout has already begun. I saw what seemed to be a dockless rental e-bike, bright blue and orange, on the sidewalk on Central today.

Glad to hear it. Fingers crossed they won't be obstructing sidewalks or bike lanes when not in use.

Makes me sad, but things must evolve. I used to Bcycle commute from Elizabeth to Uptown in a suit a couple of days a week from 2013-2018. Made me feel like I was in Copenhagen. The Bcycle team in Charlotte are good people. I remember having to call for tech support once and reaching Dianna W directly on her cell phone, and she solved it for me!

this sounds like a bad thing. I was hoping theyd expand the docks, not getting rid of them

Wrote my thesis on BCycle in 2013. Special place in my heart
This was only a matter of time after dockless and then scooters launched
