Article is about a boomer lawyer and doctor lied to their kid saying that they couldn’t afford their tuition and became surprised that they wouldn’t talk to them now

While I can understand parents wanting their kids to learn financial responsibility and all, making them pay for their entire tuition and not helping at all seems downright evil. At least come to an agreement to help out by paying for half of it or something. It would help the child not be saddled with crippling debt for decades and also give them an opportunity to work for some of their education, which would give them a sense of real ownership.
The way these parents did it is just awful. I can understand wholeheartedly why they don’t want to talk to their lying rich ass selfish parents anymore.
