Hi everyone!

I’ve created a simple tool to help you quickly identify:

  • Users who follow you but you don’t follow back.
  • Users you follow who aren’t following you back.

This can be a great way to discover new opportunities to engage with your network on Bluesky.

A useful dimension would be to identify Likes and Replies from Followers who follow me. I generally am more interested in follow-back if someone has actually engaged with me.

For instance if the follower list could be sorted by Likes or Replies that could help identify those who are most engaged with my content. I would like to see that information separately, for instance look at just Likes or just Replies. Then Likes+Replies. If I had a lot in either or both I want to know who those accounts are…

Oh, sorry to hear about the bad experience. Could you provide me with your Bluesky username?

Note: Currently, the Follow Checker is limited to accounts with 5,000 or fewer followers or following due to API spam prevention. I plan to improve this soon to increase the limit.

Very cool, thanks for creating and sharing this!

One thing I'm already tired of is follow-unfollow spammers (and OF spam accounts, but that's another story) I wonder if there's a way to track these types of people and auto-block them based on a timeframe that they'd typically behave in such a way.

So tired of social media being a place to just farm followers and do zero engagement, like some entitled self obsessed sociopath. Then again, that's very likely a me problem.

I think that's a common pain point with social networks nowadays: having many followers but few genuine ones and low engagement.

Hey great tool! Is there any way to make it display in a linear list? On my screen it currently shows 6 profiles at a time. I would find a more engaging UI if a simple vertical scroll was possible, over clicking next several hundred times. Thanks for the work, always great to see the dev & tools people are creating :)

This is great, another good thing about the API being open to third parties and protocol being open sourced is lots of neat little third party apps and tools to help.

I'm just tired of all the mobile-first design. Nothing against this or anyone specific, just the canned-framework layout. Feels like everything's buried.

Same here. Gen Z and younger don’t know any different though so they’re gonna think you’re just a hater. I remember the time before frameworks and it was great. Lots of creativity on the web. Now there’s 3 layouts just like there’s 3 websites.

Commerce and consumption replaced the social part of social media. It’s cool someone made this tool. I’m sure it has a use in filtering spammers who you accidentally followed back but I’m with you all the way.
