I’m okay. I play D&D and haven’t been able to play for like a month due to people’s schedule complications. Been pretty hard on me but I’ve tried to keep myself busy with the Hadley Braille courses. I’m home for the holidays from uni which is a good time to relax! I got my first “big girl” perfume for Christmas which is so exciting. I love fashion and perfume so this was really special. I picked out Bright Crystal Absolu, which is still a very feminine and cutesy scent with having an air of maturity to it. How was everyone’s Christmas?

Not to brag but I got a bag of Cheetos for Christmas; exactly what I wanted. Also sent out PhD applications and got a 4.0 this semester. So not to shabby

Using the wrong “too” bodes well for my applications

I am okay. My quadruplegia stuff is being extra today and I am overstimulated from the holidays a little bit it's not too bad. The chaos of kids sneakily missbehaving means I keep finding surprise messes and I should be mad probably because expensive stuff got messed up but it's exactly what I would have done as a child. So I keep finding weird things and getting someone to look at it and then cackling because it's a good hiding place for the oops you broke the thing you were told was expensive and fragile and are 6.

Essentially overwhelmed by wholesome feelings

Doing alright, my favorite nfl team is garbage but I had a decent holiday and I was having issues uploading videos to my YouTube channel for audio visual descriptions in RPGs that have now abated so I can start uploading content again, getting close to being done with my current game so I can move onto the next one.

The bears. Fortunately my favorite college football team is excellent.

North central college in division 3. They’re playing for the small college championship next Sunday. Been to the championship game 5 years straight.

Not doing too bad, holidays went fine, my parents are coming down for the weekend. Finished another braille novel which only took me about 6 or so weeks, instead of the like the 6months the last one did.

Vision wise, I am having more issues than I'd like. I'm going to have to make an appointment with someone (I am thinking it's time for a second opinion) and I am having a toss up between two different places and I can't decide.

Life wise? I am a few weeks from my lease ending and I am trying to decide how long I want to stay.

I have like a dozen emails to write and I am avoiding them like the plague.

Overall, I'm tired and physically miserable. I just want to curl up in a ball and read.

Oh, and I am thinking of joining a religious group and it's giving me anxiety because it would be the first unknown semi social thing I have ever done outside of school and school was a very long time ago for me.

honestly just annoyed, because the amment of usable vision i have would be better if i had more or less vision, i have just enough to be trying to use it all the time and it's causing so much pain. And I still don't have a daignosis and i just hate it. It's just so hard around christmas as well, which i hope everyone had a good christmas or holiday

Not doing well. Getting panic attacks every time my dear mother asks me to look for something because I’ll screw up and I’m being asked to do the impossible.

Couldn’t be better… passed all my units with flying colours, looking forward to an even stronger academic year next year. Found out I got another job I really wanted and my current job is chill with me cutting back hours (meaning I get to do what I like whilst avoiding admin work). Christmas was awesome, kinda sad it’s over, enjoying the time off and hot weather. Forgot to order contacts in time so swimming completely blind (which is fine because I’m always with someone who can look out for blue bottles).

I just recently joined this sub :) Hi everyone! I'm 27F and was born at 24 weeks with stage 3 rop, and had laser as a baby to save what was left of my vision.

I didn't have glasses until I was 3. I didn't have contacts until I was 11 or 12. So honestly, I kind of forget that I'm legally blind lol. Like, it's just been my life and I'm lucky enough to have sight with correction. But it is nice to find community here, because my risk of a retinal detachment is high, I have a bad cataract in my left eye, and my depth perception is bad.

Honestly, I probably shouldn't drive 😭 I recently got a new car with lots of fancy safety features since Ive gotten in to plenty of accidents... 😪 I'm so thankful for my optometrist 🥹 My contacts rx is now somewhere in the -15 range, I'm unsure of my glasses rx though.

It sucks not being able to do fairly normal things due to the risk of retinal detachment, sigh. It's weird like growing up not really noticing you have an impairment just cause you've had correction almost you're whole life 😮‍💨 But also, I got bullied for my glasses in grade school, in pictures before I was able to get glasses I'm squinting because I couldn't see. It's just something that's been on my mind a lot lately. Anyone else have similar experiences? It feels similar to my ADHD. I've been diagnosed since I was a child, but never felt like I had a disability until getting back on meds in adulthood and realizing "oh yeah, my brain doesn't work properly" lol

I am ok, thanks for asking, dealing with hormonal issues so that’s always tough, and my visions a bit more fuzzy because my depression has made it hard to do my eyedrops as much as I’m supposed to but I will improve that

Lots of eye pain the past week.

Trying to find a way to play Pokemon cards and doing some reading. Though reading is exhausting

I’m pretty darn happy right now. My jaws is no longer in 40 minute mode, I’ve been able to purchase the scripts I need, and best of all I got accepted into the YouTube partner program this morning.
