My athletic husband (loved to hunt too) lost his vision at 50 y/o. It’s tough. We recently moved from Richmond where the state Dept of Blind and Vision Impaired is.
He’s happy to talk to you or your dad. He trained at VDBVI and went back to work where he managed a national team and traveled by himself.
First check out audio descriptive services and work on iPhone and mobility. Built from there.

Services for the Blind in Virginia should be able to help. I’d call as soon as you can. I hope he’s doing ok after this accident.

What is your city/state? You have multiple non-profits that can help him but the location is needed.
