Ah the male writers must have been giggling like school children when they came up with this.. Hihi womenz bad drivers am I right? Men soo smart and collected and never emotional (just angry that's no emotion( when males feel it)).. I mainly see males roadrage and do dangerous manoeuvres in the streets. Oh well dangerous manoeuvre in the streets, emotional instability in the sheets..

It’s such a pathetic ad. Show me in a practical sense why the insurance is better than others instead of relying on some dumb racist and sexist trope that isn’t even funny. The ignorance showed in this ad tells me this company isn’t serious and that you should stay far far away from them. Anything that’s advertised on TikTok is usually terrible anyway.

Most of these losers got driven to school by their moms and still do as adults. My mom is Asian in an Asian country and we have had zero accidents. So I don’t get this idea of women being bad drivers or Asian women being bad in particular. They’re the best drivers according to stats. She’s also crashed zero cars unlike my male. relatives. Women tend to be more cautious which is why insurance premiums are higher for men. Women with kids are even more cautious. Insurance companies do a lot of research in order to make the most profit and keep repeating these studies but people would rather trust their emotions and biases rather than the facts.
The whole stereotype is based on the fact that immigrants from Asia came from a place with almost no road laws and learned to drive pretty late into their lives as cars were expensive. When you look at 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants like myself and my friends, the stereotype is not true at all, because we all grew up around cars, we all understand what to do on the road.
When it comes to women being bad at driving, it has to do with sexism, and trying to put women down. They usually come up with the most nonsensical things and comparisons by which to claim that men are inherently better than women. They’ll unironically claim that more males as formula 1 drivers means that females are terrible at driving despite the fact that formula 1 and going to Walmart are two separate things entirely.

Also, Formula One and NASCAR have historically blocked women from joining. Generations of women were simply…blocked, no matter whose talented. Simply bc they are a woman.

Everything that men have stereotyped women to be/do is all projection and reality always proves men to be the ones that are responsible for the stereotype [bad drivers, blah/gossip more, promiscuity, etc]

Ok, this is ridiculous. I don't have progressive, but those who do, please cancel and spread the word. It's the only thing they'll listen to.

Uh, PROGRESSIVE. Wtf? This is worse than Xfinity’s “Karen” ad. Another company to boycott.

It's weird how this is so deeply rooted. She agreed to play into this, but it does not shock me, I hear it from men and women alike that women can not drive.

This is a shitty ad, but the newest data show women pay more for car insurance in most states due to more incidents which includes parking tickets and other citations.
When it comes to DUI, high damage accidents, riskier driving etc men tend to have a higher incident rates.
It's more accurate to say that the smaller day to day incidents there is a small difference between men and women, but for most damaging incidents, men tend to account for more of them. However, when all the costs combined and divided the small difference in small incidents add up to a greater amount than the difference between the more damaging incidents. Therefore, women are charged more in more states.

The data has remained the same. You can go online right now to check the rates for a male vs females Men pay more in auto insurance bc they are worse drivers.

This is just not true. Please look up the 2023 data including the 37 states where they charge women more. Zebra did a pretty comprehensive rate analysis as well as National Transportation.
For work I research gendered biased billing from mobile apps to the "Pink Tax". This particular charging and billing category has been on the rise for women the past decade as more women commute and drive longer distances.
Men and women are involved in different types of incidents more often, with men tending to be in more damaging ones. It is the types of incidents that matter. However, to say women do not pay more currently would not be accurate. See Florida or Michigan, States that have very little protection for consumers insurance buying policies.

Don’t men get into more car accidents than women? 💀
