Send all immigrant engineers and scientists to China.

Edit. Leave the lawyers.

Like we need more lawyers, easier to outsource lawyers to India.

U must be special if you think thatā€™s whatā€™s coming through illegally.

Venezuelans didnā€™t pull up and start gangs here. Hell nah them mfs been organized and cliqued up before coming over. Some old head named Guillermo probably calling shots from down in Caracas or something.

The children of the people coming across from Mexico are much more likely to become doctors, scientists, and engineers than native born Americans.

Any one that you care to look at. This is well established.

Here's the first one I found: https://time.com/6182715/immigrants-children-us-mobility/

Also, consider the DACA recipients. They far out shone American born of the same age.

...yes, we educate and care for our citizens (and to some extent other residents) so that they can then contribute to society. That's an investment.

As demonstrated, this investment pays off very well on average when we're talking about immigrants. Historically, they are highly motivated hard workers who put a high value on education.

Compare this against the population that they typically compete against, high school drop outs, and you see the exact opposite. The children of American born high school drop outs tend to become high school drop outs themselves.

Tell me why I shouldn't desire to support and invest in that first group and instead prefer the second? Immigrants are a key component in what has and continues to make America great.

If my tax dime helps find a better future for our country, then I'm good.
