It looks fine, for a first time. The main reason it probably looks a bit different is because y’all may have different hair textures. Maybe next time, try to use a good hair gel to slick down the front then wrap your hair for a bit. That’ll help to slick down the look.

It looks like they have the same hair texture but one has products for smoothing and frizz, but I agree that a good hair gel will do the trick.

Thanks for the advice ! I’ve only started using gel recently, cuz I had always felt like my hair would never get glued to my head, since it’s kinky. But, now I kinda appreciate seeing my hair with it

It's so cute! The little jewelry is super cheap too if you want to try it next time. There's no beauty supply by me so I get them on Shein.
Anyway have fun doing different styles 😘
