Maybe because it's easier than rigging up a mic and getting it to sound good (which isn't easy to do well), not to mention reading the script fluently and clearly. Or maybe because the creator didn't like the sound of their own voice for some reason.
They're stealing written articles and using text-to-speech because it's faster. The goal is just to get ad revenue with as little effort as possible. OP's entire Reddit account is just sub-for-sub and like-for-like for his own videos.
