Help!

My b5 a4 1.8t fwd. Gone to drive somewhere and couldnt get into the car, initially thought it was the key but realised the security light wasnt flashing. The actuators i couldnt hear with manual key turn and shook the car violently and alarm didnt go off, i cant physically get into the car to pop the bonnet, does anyone know of a way to gain entry or of a positive/negative point i can access?? RHD model

Using the lock in the driver door doesn't work? That should be purely mechanical.

Nope. Ive noticed when the cars unlocked it lets me lock it but when its locked i cant unlock it through that same barrel. Same with the boot, i can lock the car through boot lock but cant unlock through it

That's odd.

You're going to have to call AAA so you can get into the car. Or use something to pull on the inside door handle to unlock one of the doors.

My best guess is that the CLM in the trunk got flooded due to a bad taillight seal on the passenger side. This can cause various issues, including battery drain, random alarm activation, and stuck on interior lights. Or it's just bad, and the unlock signal from the keys isn't reaching it (or it's just bad internally)

The keyholes are mechanically linked to the lock mechanism on its door (or the trunk) it shouldn't need power to work. Are you turning them hard enough? There should be mechanical resistance to turning the key.

Try unlocking the door manually with the key but keep it turned for a few seconds, the window will go down, unless you are out of power. Or try opening other doors, the all open when the key is turned in the sor

Sounds like the module in the trunk, pretty common issue. Gets corroded out from water.
