META Sorry, no money to help but maybe some helpful advice for those struggling!
I've been working from home for years now. I started out at Teletech which was fairly easy to get due to having customer service experience. Ratracerebellion.com lists legit work from home jobs on a daily basis. Some good ones that are always hiring are Sykes, Conduent, Concentrix, Appen and Lionbridge. Just thought I'd throw this out there in case it can help others! Pretty sure Appen and Lionbridge don't care if you have work at home experience.
Edited to add some others I’ve thought of and they hire depending on state and country. It varies with all of them so unfortunately I don’t know where they hire for sure.
Sutherland global, Working Solutions, Sitel, Transcom, Teleperformance, iSoftstone, Support.com, Xerox
I’ve not worked for most of these companies I just can vouch that they are legitimate. It can take some time and lots of applications but that’s how I did it.
Right now it’s tax season and a lot of these companies are looking for customer service reps and that’s how I got my foot in the door with a work at home job. Hopefully, the rest of you can do the same.
Good Luck!
Second Edit: Kelly Connect, its a separate division of Kelly Temp Agency is usually hiring for chat-based support. I had a friend that worked their and enjoyed it.

Saving this post. I have always struggled in traditional employment roles due to my mental health and have long been searching for work from.home opportunities.

Agree! I've been at Lionbridge for 10 years now. It has it's downsides but definitely has worked great for me!

Hey, just wondering, what kind of at home work do most of these companies require?

Most are on the phone customer service or tech support. Sometimes chat. A lot of the tech support ones aren’t very technical and they teach you. Those are usually employee positions. Lion bridge, Appen and isoftstone all hire for non phone jobs. These usually involve rating web pages or search results. They are usually independent contractor work. Plus you need to study and pass a test without pay but it’s easy work. Sykes was hiring for this type of work as an actual employee but not sure if they still are.

Hi OP, thanks for sharing. Would you know if this works for someone outside USA?

Concentrix has employees across the globe. I work with some in Asia, Central America, Canada, the UK and the US. If you're outside of the states and looking for that kind of stuff, you could look at Teleperformance, Startek or Alorica as well. They're all business partner operations.

ICUC is another to look at. I worked from home for them for 5 years. Part time (my choice, but they have full time also).

I used to work for Sykes as a senior in high school. Paid good, good company. I didn't know they started doing at home stuff.

I will second some of these companies for sure. If you need a flexible schedule I would recommend LiveOps, Appen and NexRep.
LoveOps and NexRep have similar starter gigs, inbound call center order taking from infommercials. If you can handle trying to upsell a lot of things and bonus magazines during calls both can be some good money. More so if you need to work later in the evening when kiddos are in bed.

Thank you so much. I had to quit my job in October because my mental health was rapidly declining. My psychiatrist and therapist both told me repeatedly how awful they thought my workplace environment was for me and my diagnosis. I feel so much better not going there every day but it's also been making me a nervous wreck not having an income. I've been trying desperately to find something I can do from home so I don't have to be around people unless I want to be.

There's quite a few suggestions I listed at the top. The best place I've found to find new leads is ratracerebellion.com. They list new leads every day and they also have a huge list of companies with work from home positions.

Try Appen and Lionbridge sometimes they offer jobs that are rating ads on like Facebook and its all phone-based. There are also some like Conduent, Concentrix, Transcom and Kelly Connect who send you computers to work on!

Look....I’m rolling off a shit decade and if I can say there’s hope there has to be my friend. I’m not saying that like my “shit” is/was worse then your because it’s all relative....I’m saying that because it does eventually get better. Just take it one day at at time. Good luck.

I work for Liveops. I had left a DV marriage with my 2 yo, I was so scared to be in public and my daughter had to be with me all the time, no car, no trustworthy babysitters, and I didnt feel good about myself. I found work at home jobs doing a google search. I've worked at home ever since supporting us. No need to travel and you get what you put into it.
