THANK YOU Update on my dad
Hello, I posed here a week ago out of desperation because my dad was in the hospital.
I just want to give an update, my dad passed away two days ago with my brother and I by his side.
I want to come on here and say thank you to everyone who offered words of encouragement and support and prayers. I especially want to thank the person who told me that my dad could hear me despite the fact that he wasn’t responsive. I don’t think I would have said everything I needed to say to my dad if you didn’t tell me that.
Yeah, thank you guys. God bless.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Great job finding the courage to reach out, and to follow up. You are doing so well. If you'd like to talk, I do volunteer peer support for anyone. No cost and no income requirements. Send me a private message and I'll send you the discord contact info. Sometimes, just having someone to talk to who isn't going to change what they think of you is really relieving during crisis. Either way, it really does get easier, one step at a time.

My condolences to you and your family. When my dad was in hospice, a nurse wrote this book that provided us with so much information. Most definitely they can hear us and while my mom was in her bedroom, we had my dad at home and hospice was amazing and a blessing! My dad was between here and heaven, which he wasn’t going to open his eyes anymore. I asked him if he wanted mom and he nodded. My mom came and sat next to him and that was the last night he stayed with us. We all gathered and as my oldest brother and I were at the end of the bed, my brother told my dad, it was ok to go. He said dad it’s ok to go, mom will be fine and we will all be here for her. Then he took his last breath. It was so peaceful!
Always know that he will be there when you least expect him to be. Look for signs. And know that he is in heaven and an Angel! May he RIP! God Bless! 🙏🙏🙏🪽🪽

I am sure your presence was a great comfort to him, even if he could not articulate it. My deepest condolences for your loss.
