EMOTIONAL SUPPORT Happy easter to everyone spending the day alone, you are loved and you are not forgotten
I hope this message finds you surrounded by love, laughter, and all the joy that Easter brings. As for me, well, I find myself here, typing away, reflecting on the bittersweet reality of today.
You see, this Easter, I find myself alone. Not by choice, mind you, but because my family decided that spending the day with a cancer patient might just dampen the festive spirit a little too much. And who can blame them, right? Easter is supposed to be a time of merriment, of egg hunts and chocolate bunnies, not a time for somber thoughts and worried glances.
So, as I sit here, contemplating the emptiness that echoes through the halls of my home, I can't help but feel a twinge of sadness. But then, amidst the solitude, a realization dawns upon me.
Easter isn't about the grand gatherings or the lavish feasts. It's not about the flashy decorations or the perfectly orchestrated egg hunts. No, Easter is about something much deeper, much more profound.
It's about hope. It's about resilience. It's about the unwavering belief that even in the darkest of times, light will find its way in.
So, to all of you out there who, like me, find yourselves spending this Easter alone, I want you to know that you are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. You are not any less deserving of celebration.
In fact, you are what makes this day special. Your strength, your courage, your sheer determination in the face of adversity – that's what Easter is truly about.
So, as you navigate through this day, know that you are not alone. You are surrounded by a community of warriors, each fighting their own battles, yet united in spirit and solidarity.
And remember, dear friend, that you are loved. You are cherished. You are worthy of all the joy and happiness that this world has to offer.
So, here's to you – the unsung heroes of Easter. May your day be filled with warmth, with peace, and with the knowledge that you are enough, just as you are.
Happy Easter, my friends. You are what makes this day special. Celebrate yourself, for you are truly remarkable.
All my love and solidarity

I love this post - I've spent all day sat alone in the dark and in silence but picked up my phone to a notification and stumbled across this. Thank you. You've actually motivated to clean my room and run a nice hot bath. I was homeless for quite some time due to an overdose and I've recently been placed into a housing association but I've really let myself go lately so right now is the time to clean myself up and relax.

Happy birthday, honey. I understand how hard it can be. Sending you love and light. Easter reminds us that hope must never be lost for as dark as the road may seem, there always lies light at the end of it. May all your prayers be fulfilled. May you have a pleasant Easter!

Happy Easter!!! My son is alone this Easter, and its so hard not being with him. It's the first holiday we haven't spent together in 20 years. He's a sophomore in college, and every other holiday he has been able to come home, or I've gone up there.
He started a new job a few weeks ago and had to work until 10 PM last night, and he has class first thing Monday. It just didn't make sense for him to drive a total of 16 hours there and back to stay for less than 24 hours. So, he stayed at his apartment, and I'm so sad and worried. All his friends are gone too.
I sent him funds to get the yummiest meal he could imagine, and we've been talking all day. Still, without him here with his sisters, it isn't the same.
I'm so sorry you're alone on Easter as well. It sounds like your family sucks, I know that feeling all too well. I hope you have a peaceful and relaxing evening, you deserve all the good in the world!

When I am exhausted and no strength is left, I know that God is still working in my situation. The battle is not mine, it is His. There comes a time in despair when I have no energy left. It is then through faith I understand God is working. He is not on my time table, but He loves me enough to be with me but to fight for me. Easter gives us a hope bigger than ourselves. We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining—they just shine. May this Easter be a symphony of laughter, a chorus of hope, and a dance of renewal that sweeps away the old to make room for the new.

I'm not alone today but growing up we would spend this day in church and eat together afterwards and I know that's what the rest of my family is doing and I long to be with them. It's a warm memory. Your post lightened the mood a little. Happy Easter and thank you for posting this.

I’ve never asked for anything or commented in this group. What I need, a good support system, is a difficult thing to ask for.
Thank you for this post, OP. It’s a gift I really needed today.
Happy Easter to you! - a warrior standing with you

I'm without my son for Easter. He lives on the east coast where as I am on the west. I sent him Easter gifts in which he loves. I miss him so much. He's only 11.

A belated thank you. I’ve spent every holiday and birthday alone, because of stomach problems. I’ve gotten used to it but your post brightened my day! Wishing you peace and comfort. I’m so sorry you have cancer. 🌊💙
