How do you know when your body is telling you something is wrong before it gets serious?

From experience this morning: if I'm feeling vaguely off and start heavily salivating "out of nowhere", that's my body saying it's time to get to the bathroom to puke.

Eye twitches as an early sign of to much Stress and getting dry lips as the First sign of getting a cold. If I Look After me in this Moment, I will Not getting a serious infection or mental Problem.

If you experience severe dizziness, or you feel dizzy and are experiencing other symptoms such as high fever, numbness or weakness, chest pain, vomiting, or a stiff neck.

The same way you know you are thirsty or hungry, your body will tell you. Pain, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and/or pain are all signals that something is wrong. Unfortunately, determining whether this is caused by e.g. sleeping weird/lack of sleep, some bad food, a minor sprain or if it is caused by something more serious is difficult to say. However, in medicine, there is a saying: “When you hear hooves, think horses, not zebras”. Sudden major complications are rare and difficult to diagnose on your own without the proper training and equipment. When you feel off, don't hesitate to contact your GP and ask for advice. They would much rather send you home with a diagnosis of sleeping weirdly than you waiting it out and then realise your muscles are decaying.

Are you asking because you're another hypochondriac like me, and can't always tell if something is actually wrong, or if it's just anxiety? Oh man, I know what that's like.
For that, I try to ask myself "is it the symptom that is bothering me, or is it the anxiety about the symptom that is bothering me"
If it's the latter, it's often just anxiety that can be handled through distraction. If it's the first (the symptom itself is causing you difficulties, such as being in too much pain to focus on work), then you should probably pay more attention to it.

I’ve learned to tell how much water I drink based on pee color. It may seem a bit gross, but bear with me here, the darker it is, the more water you need to drink, meanwhile the clearer it is, the more water you need to hold off of.

The sudden craving for bacon. Whenever something serious was about to happen, or things like a panic attack, etc i start to crave bacon. Not cuz of smell or texture or taste. Just bacon cuz it's bacon, and it has never failed me so far

My Body is like every German invention. There is no: I give you a slight warning. We don’t want it to get too serious. Noooo! Strictly and directly. Gallbladderstones? No problem. I had 7…. 5 got pressed out with a colic. There was no misinterpreting this. Thyroid? You’re are tired with sleepiness. Means, as long as you’re at work, I give you energy. Buuut. As soon you get in that car, you’ll need a can oft softdrink to be able to drive the 10 minutes home. A Cold? Feels like dying of sore throat. Food poisoning? Smells good, tastes good. Just get another bite… oh wait… aaawww, now you will taste it the whole night. And every time you think about it.

The gut feeling never lies. If you sense something is “off” in the atmosphere or environment and your getting bad vibe from a particular person, place or thing, listen to it’s warnings.

It's like the sound of a gunshot.
Whenever I hear a loud bang or crack I always wonder if it's a gunshot.
Couple years ago I was sitting at my desk, and I was living in a nice area, but I hear a pop, followed by another, then multiple pops. I immediately dropped sometime around the 3rd shot. Hit the ground before the fifth.
It was kids driving by shooting in the air. Fired off about ten rounds.
Anyway, when you know, you know. It's just different. You know something is wrong and take action. That action might be suddenly sleeping twelve hours a day, or only eating bananas, but it us drastic compared to your normal experience.
You don't know why the loud sound is different, you just know it is. You only realize it's a gunshot after you respond.
It is a cancerous way to think where you question why you didn't take action sooner. But simultaneously you don't want to wait too long. It's a fine line, but you'll know when you feel compelled to act.

Listen to what my doctors say, I guess.
They say change my diet and lose weight. Sounds simple, until they say to cut back on carbs..... oof!

Got super covid fever on the night of the 24th, but i already knew since that morning that i was about to get hit by something big, how? was working out in the morning, and during the workout all alarm bells were going off, feeling more tired than usual, strange dizziness(but not worrisome dizziness, more like "hm these weights shouldn't make me this dizzy). Decided to cut the workout short, went to the farmacy to get some over the counter stuff, and sure enough it slowly started to get worse during the day, and eventually awoke at night with a 39C fever, had to use the small cooling packets i keep in the fridge to cool myself down. But thankfullz it isn't the first time i get covid and exactly as last time, fever only lasted one night, and now i've had a stuffy nose for 3 days.

You start to get this feeling of dread, like part of life is nonexistant, almost numb? You can still operate but its like you have to push your self to do basic tasks
Thats just how it was for me

Everything our body does seems to tell us when things are wrong. A lot of people mentioned fatigue or dizziness. These are important to pay attention to, but so are your body odor, the way your urine looks and smells, the way your feces looks and smells, and even how your saliva tastes. Your skin and hair also will tell you things about your body. Certain types of acne, or just breaking out, can mean something isn't quite right. If your hair isn't growing, it's breaking, or changes texture, this also can mean something.
I like that you asked this question. Many people don't know their bodies. They freak out at the thought of looking at their urine or feces, or noticing their body odor. They might not understand subtle changes that their body and mind encounter, which is such a big indicator of a problem.

I’m a high academic achiever and I find that I have severe difficulty focusing when I’m about to start displaying symptoms of being sick. My focus is always the first thing out the window.

An "Impending Sense of Doom" is a legitimate sign of many things including a heart attack.
It's not always like the movies where there is someone clutching their chest in pain.

Anything new is a warning sign....more serious is shortness of breath, blood from pee or stool....chest pain, dizziness.

Feeling super tired all the time – If I’m dragging myself out of bed and can barely keep my eyes open, even after a full night’s sleep, I know something’s off. It’s like, I’m just not feeling right, and I usually know it’s my body trying to tell me I need to chill or it’s fighting something off.
