I hope you have a good time there! That sounds like the breakfast that a 6-year-old would choose if given full freedom 😅

I always eat it at least once in Spain, and particularly when in Madrid!

A 6 year old worth their salt would eat them with Cola Cao

Going home from the ship I work on today. Couple of beers at the ships bar, driving to Germany tomorrow for new years. The only occasion in the year I always really look forward to, old colleagues and my absolute best friends, wouldn’t change it for anything.

Sounds cool!

May I ask, how long are your turns/shifts, in terms of time spent on the ship vs. time on land, and time working on the ship vs. time off on the ship?

I work 14 days on, 14 days off. 10 hours of work per day on board.

Do you work on a cargo ship or a cruise ship/ferry?

A ferry, but the cargo vessels in the company have the same terms.

Last night I dreamed that I was in Sweden as a tourist and queuing in front of a Döner shop with my husband. Then a band of tourists passed by and there was a big crowd, and I got separated from my husband. When the crowd dissipated and I found him again, the people in the queue complained very loudly, accusing me of jumping the queue, and we had to go all the way to the back of the queue.

Swedish people why are you so mean 😭

My brain is still trying to leak out of my nose, but still I am not as miserable as I was during the first bout of cold I had... like a month ago. It is exhausting. After this I will stick myself into a giant condom when I take public transport.

Hope you get better soon!

I don't have much experience in Sweden, but I remember that they are very good in a line, not at all like Sicilians!

That sounds like a British nightmare

My sister in Italy and me in the UK have discussed the Ikea restaurant menu - different currency but same items. Little things that make Europe a tangible thing

They give you more meatballs in the UK version ;-)
