One Piece Treasure Cruise Needs Your Help
Recently the Global Version of OPTC has been going through some hard times. We found out Bandai the support for all of our game; has been tampering with rates of individual units in OPTC and we're trying to raise awareness of their wrong doing. Refer to this Link:
A more concise explanation can be found here:
Legends are NOT boosted by the current banner's class and/or color boost.
Then to top it off imagine outside of a 2x rate your chance of pulling a rare character is less than one percent:
"without the double rates, it is roughly 0.78% to get a specific legend on a regular banner"
Then to add some more to this scam they manually set rates on junk characters that have nothing to do with the current banner:
- Bandai manually sets rates for individual characters (including junk characters) - even if they do not fit the current class/color boost.
Furthermore instead of being rewarded for playing longer it seems players who play religiously and pull religiously get their rates nerfed:
- These rates may not reflect those adjusted for high volume players."
I understand some of you may not play this game, but I believe has game consumers, it is important to stand united against a scam and support each other no matter what games we are playing . Thank you.
Some Solutions:
- Spread this link on any subreddit with Bandai Company
- bad reviews
- Facebook link share with:
The rates on global are worse than what you try to make us believe. We've gathered data that proves that not only you're lying about the rates, but that you take a certain unknown player variable that determines what the player gets from the pulls, thus punishing active and paying players with less than less active and more casual players. Enough proof has be gathered which is strenghtening our assumption. We have to believe, until you prove us wrong by being as transparent as you're on japan, that the rates you claim to offer are simply wrong. We simply have no transparency and based on our gathered data there is no reason to believe you as a company anymore, thus we lost our faith in you as an honest company. We feel like we're taking advantage of. We as a community expect your statement. We just want to be treated with the same respect and transparency that OPTC Japan has, meaning you must display the rates of the pulls, give the same rates that OPTC Japan has and implement the legend after 3 multipulls. Untill you do not do this, I won't spend any money on this game. I won't support anti-consumer practices. refer to this link: https://redd.it/71ulgr
- Inquiry of OPTC:
-same format as the Facebook one except without the link Thank you guys for everything

By raising awareness we can force them to publish rates .We are consumers after all and we do have power

This is a problem with basically every gacha style game

u/Trueyes Sep 24 '17
Yeah I Understand what you are saying but this is basically False advertising at this point: We understand that gacha style gaming is essentially gambling but again if you say 2x rate up I expect a 2x rate up.Not for you to turn around and implemnt something else. Another point is if you are a loyal player you should be rewarded not nerfed for enjoying the game.

And what you're saying could be directed toward any gacha style game or game with gacha rewards.
In case you're new to mobile game, the basic "This is a skinner box" thing has been happening since android was released and a bit before that. And for the most part gacha games are all just reskins of whatever the original one was.
Nobody has bothered to go in an try to innovate. So if you want to play the game you want to play, you'll have to build it and do it in a way that is profitable, which basically means a sole proprietorship because if you have any other person involved they'll be urging you to extract as much rent as you can because the basic knowledge about online/mobile games is that they have a limited lifespan in which they maintain profitability.
So, tl;dr its up to you to prove what they're doing is wrong either by example or by a legal battle.

The game is not only pay to win , It is also a free to play game . I am one of the players of the F2P community of the game . The thing is if you are loyal and play the games religiously and save up those hard earned in game currency, the rates should be true to what is said . Not say 2x rate up , then go back and do something else . This affects both F2P and P2W community.

As a f2p player... the dev does not care what you think and never will.

This issue is not only affecting f2p players. It also affects p2w players who are blatantly lied too and spend their money believing it is 2x rate up. There are some who never spent money and because of this supposed rate up , poured money into the game only to find out that they were cheated of their money. It is not about pay to win or free to play, it is a consumer issue that needs to be fixed

Well that is a bit sad to hear. Oasis Games did the same thing with Naruto Online. And pretty much lost all trust of the whole industry.

I played that game too and spent a substantial amount of money towards it . It is about time games like those and many gacha games be forced to post up their rates , so we can experiment and know we are not being cheated

Thank you for the information and it is true . There should legislation on this type of practice . Gacha games are essentially Gambling and it is not only adults that play gachas, but Children also. It is about time a law be enacted that forces the companies to be more open and truthful about rates. This might lead an example , this might set a fire . We need all the help we can and I thank any redditor for reading the post.

I definitely notice the same on Kamen Rider Battle Rush. So many gems and I can't even get a advertised 4* to 5* rider

Thank you for reading the post and for pointing out other games Bandai is exploiting . If you could spread the news on Facebook , Twitter , YouTube and news outlets to bring this issue to light and understand that has consumers we will not stand for this

So what exactly you want, to play the game or not to play the game?
1
u/Trueyes Sep 24 '17
I want the game have an open glass policy . If they showed their rates everything would be solve , but for now we can only go off the post that was data mined . It is as simple as that. In fact this is not only happening on this game ,every gacha game should be publishing its rates . I feel like the US and all other countries must catch up to modern laws about gaming . Gacha is essentially gambling and there should be policies enacted upon this practice

I've been playing Tales of The Rays for last few weeks and loving it, think its super fair so far, but now I'm hoping this situation does not plague it in the future.

u/Trueyes Sep 25 '17
I hope it but who knows unless current laws are changed and this is brought to light in front of law makers , then we can truly not move forward.

Don't care. That game is pay to win so I imagine everyone playing it is a whale. Just keep spending your money to get the character you want. Pretty simple.

over 900 days logged in on the game, havent spent a dime. this issue is not about spending money. its about tricking the playerbase with false numbers and "deals". also there is evidence pointing to legacy/big spenders having rates skewed. as in, the more you pay the less you get with your money
