But I assume its just a few objects like the big box on the right a bit of smaller stuff on the left that hit the real renaissance vibe. If they where gone it would be more obvious.

As a wife watching her husband also put together a Lego set at this moment, I appreciate this photo.

Is that wheat on the table? Christmas tradition, right? I moved out of my home country 7 years ago and I haven’t seen it since then. Right in the feels

It is wheat indeed. We are at my mother-in-law for the holidays and I actually thought she bought it for our cat, who likes to eat it sometimes. But after seeing your comment I asked my mother-in-law if it was a local tradition for Christmas and she actually said yes. Thanks for the comment, I found out something new 🙂

Congrats, I got my mom (64) this exact same set as she has been Bitten by the botanical but since this summer when we went to Legoland. It's so much fun watching how people that have not really grown up lego builders take to the modern instructions, and of course I am available if she needs directions, but only if she asks.

The Lego app instructions are great too. Being able to see it in 3D helps a ton with some parts.
Also, if your helping someone build a set, and everyone is using the app, it will give each person different things to do. Kind of blew my mind when I discovered that. Made building a large set with my daughter a lot more fun since we weren't stumbling over how to split up the work.

It's a great present, I agree. My wife has also had 0 experience with Lego, it was fun watching her enjoy it for the first time

We've been building one of these botanical sets every thanksgiving as an after dinner activity for the last two years now. I think it's a new tradition, they're quite enjoyable!

The plum blossom set is really nice. If you guys haven’t yet, I recommend the orchid set and the bonsai set. The birds of paradise was great too, but it’s discontinued.

I just checked out the bonsai set online - it looks great. Thanks for the advice!

My wife got the same one today as well. Always love seeing her be happy 90% of the time and then when a piece doesn't fit easily she gets all huffy

Halfway through the one my wife put together she stopped and was like "Holy shit. I get it."
When referring to adults playing with Legos.
