When are police force operates out of financial incentives, this is what's going to happen. The entire institution needs to be remade from the ground up, otherwise ACAB.

That police chief is acting the same way I do when a disliked coworker’s great-grandparent dies. What is the bare minimum of sympathy do I need to show to get me out of the situation without getting me more involved?

Thoughts and prayers.

Never consent to be their circus animal. There's no "passing" a field sobriety test. They are not used to exonerate but to implicate. If you are asked to do any test regardless of your sobriety, only consent a blood draw or a breathalyzer.

Field Sobierty tests are not designed to ensure your freedom. They are designed to provide evidence for your arrest and conviction.

They are arbitrary and administered by an individual who has an incentive to see you fail.

Delightful add on at the very end that the teacher also has to drive for Uber.

It happens. I'm proof. Fought it all the way to jury trial but had an evil lawyer that tap danced me into a guilty verdict

It's a grift. That chief is full of shit, his heart hurts but it's for himself because this TV station did this story but they never asked him if they get grant money for DUI arrest rather than convictions which they do. The TV station is a collaborator.

I wonder how much money dumb fucking police officers cost this country in wasted resouces and lawsuits...
