I found the first simp here

12

u/Ready_Bandicoot1567 Oct 01 '24

If you watch her content, its not sexual or provocative. She's actually been fairly modest. Aside from her original "Hawk Tuah" clip, she's not really allowing herself to be overly sexualized. I think thats part of what draws people in. People genuinely like her personality and sense of humor. But yea of course sexualization is part of her fame, due to that original clip. I think she kinda fulfills that "whore with a heart of gold" male fantasy. Not calling her a whore, but "whore with a heart of gold" is definitely an archetype.

2

u/ScrofessorLongHair Oct 01 '24

Instead of

"whore with a heart of gold"

It's actually more of a "lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets."

1

u/Ready_Bandicoot1567 Oct 01 '24

yea you're right thats a more appropriate saying

2

u/Objective-Amount1379 Oct 02 '24

Yes this. She’s cute but not intimidating looking. And she’s in on the joke. I’m a woman and when I first heard the bit she said I thought it sounded tacky but whatever. But then when I saw interview clips with her I found her super likable. She seems really genuine and like she’s a fun person to hang out with. And her starting an animal charity and going on a shopping spree for a shelter at the start of all of this made me like her even more.

u/Joe-Bidens-Mama Oct 01 '24

Not simping, it’s literally the reason her fame still hasn’t died out. She knows how to hold an audience and keep riding the fame wave.

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24 edited Oct 01 '24

Yes, it's called being attractive.

You can downvote all you want guys, she's not going to notice you.

12

u/Psclly Oct 01 '24

I found the first incel here

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24 edited Oct 01 '24

Nice NPC response, any other automated voice messages you want to pass on? Or will you surprise me and say something with substance?

Labels are convenient for those who can't engage in good-faith conversation. Allows you to auto-categorize people who might otherwise challenge the way you think. It's okay, we don't have to have a big boy conversation, you can call me an incel and keep posting about your mains in MMO subs lmao. Clearly this isn't an opportunity to engage in good-natured debate. This is just a nice place to drop your buzzword and collect your popularity points. Opportunistic scavenger.

7

u/Psclly Oct 01 '24 edited Oct 01 '24

something with substance?

edit: lmao, what kind of degeneracy did you have to post to get your comment auto removed?

3

u/SheildMadeofFace Oct 01 '24

This is the most "I'm 13 and edgy is cool!" Post I've ever seen

4

u/One-Newspaper-8087 Oct 01 '24

"Yes, it's called being attractive."
"Nice NPC response"

Choose one.

-2

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Calling someone an incel is literally knuckle-dragging NPC behavior. I see threads full of these clones everywhere and sometimes they're right (but they don't know why)

3

u/One-Newspaper-8087 Oct 01 '24

Wow, great response about you being a hypocrite in terms of good faith conversation!

3

u/uhnothisispatrick Oct 01 '24

The guy is clinically stupid I wouldn’t waste your time

3

u/seen-in-the-skylight Oct 01 '24

Aw, the incel is getting mad!

-1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

That response is meaningless and if you had a brain you'd realize you're reinforcing everything i said. I can use buzzwords too (that aren't reddit-approved) but i won't lower myself to antagonistic mouth-diarrhea

1

u/therapistforrent Oct 01 '24

Ok incel.

Prime r/iamverysmart material right here.

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Where did i explicitly try to cite my intelligence or appear smarter? Are words with more than 2 syllables a trigger for you?

1

u/weirdo_nb Oct 02 '24

The entirety of the conversation pretty much?

1

u/Alcatrazepam Oct 02 '24

Responding to an accusation of being an incel by calling the other person an “NPC.” I imagine the irony isn’t completely lost on you ? Ah what am I saying

0

u/balloo_loves_you Oct 01 '24

lol you literally started this thread by labeling someone a simp, and are now labeling them an NPC.

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Read again. Didn't implicate anybody as a simp. Two comments previous to my first comment someone said "found the first simp". That wasn't me. I only called people NPCs who couldn't formulate more than a couple words of criticism. "Incel" is about as useful as "leftist" now. They've become so blurred nobody knows what they mean and are essentially thrown around carelessly by those who are hard of thinking. People who try to karma farm by leaving cute little buzzword mic drops deserve the rope. They get ignored for low-effort NPC behavior. Besides, they don't want a conversation, they want some upboats and high fives.

3

u/purpleplatapi Oct 01 '24

.... It's a podcast. You don't watch podcasts, you listen to them, so I don't know how far looks can get you. If you're not witty or charming it's a bad podcast.

2

u/Schwight_Droot Oct 01 '24

A lot of Podcasts have video footage of their conversations.

1

u/purpleplatapi Oct 01 '24

Sure, but I don't think people are staring at their computer for an hour and closely watching. I'm pretty sure they throw it on in the background while they work or cook or garden or whatever.

2

u/jz9chen Oct 01 '24

Ur just hypothesizing here

1

u/purpleplatapi Oct 01 '24

As of right now she's in #5 on Spotify, which has no video component at all.

1

u/PaulC6230 Oct 01 '24

I watch Theo Vons podcast videos on You Tube what’s wrong with that?

1

u/purpleplatapi Oct 01 '24

I mean nothing is wrong with that, it's just unusual.

1

u/PaulC6230 Oct 01 '24

True. It’s the only one I watch along with Joe Rogan ones depending on the guest he has on

4

u/HeorgeGarris024 Oct 01 '24

Yeah she's the only attractive person on the Internet actually

-2

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

No, she's not. But she's done very well as one, like many others whose platforms were kickstarted by quasi-sexual meme videos.

4

u/Augmented_Fif Oct 01 '24

The only way to be successful as a woman is to be attractive. There is nothing else that can add to it. /s

-1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

I didn't actually say that, though i understand it's easier for your lizard brain to categorize me as an incel. It is actually possible to have both people who have become successful as a result of their intelligence and people who have been in the right place at the right time and happen to be attractive. This is a case, especially given the nature of the original meme, where people are obviously crushing on her and that's getting her alot of attention.

1

u/therapistforrent Oct 01 '24

Ok incel.

-2

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

High-effort reply, dick and balls

1

u/East_Living7198 Oct 01 '24

Triggered. Time for you to take a nap.

0

u/Augmented_Fif Oct 01 '24

I disagree. That is what you're saying.

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

You want a prize for disagreeing? But how reddit-ish of you to literally not take me for my word and instead provide your very own interpretation of my statements. "No, you're not saying that. You said something i interpreted differently earlier so now that interpretation is canon in my head and my autistic brain wont allow me to change it even though you're telling me it's not what you meant"

Fuck off dude.

0

u/Augmented_Fif Oct 01 '24

You literally said it was because she was hot, and when I called you on it, you switched to, "Oh, actually, it's because of the meme." You're a joke, go fuck yourself.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/DrakonILD Oct 01 '24

You're a confusing person. Is she successful because she's attractive, or is she successful and incidentally attractive? You've made both claims.

0

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Read closer and you'll find i haven't. I do believe she has her 15 minutes now because most people saw blowjob meme and found it funny/subconsciously attractive. And likewise, people who are either attractive or conventionally "unattractive" can hold people's attention because they're interesting. My only point was that she's experiencing this surge of stardom as a result of a 15 second blowjob meme clip and i think that says something. Anyways, im obviously a dummy retard incel according to the reddit hive mind so I'm good on commenting on the issue. The backlash to one single comment was unreal and i accept that it's controversial here, though i didn't expect it to be when posting. Gonna go seek out another news/interest platform that isn't so divisive. I've given reddit several tries, and always come away feeling like people are extremely confrontational and shitty in the comments. Time to put it down for a while

1

u/DrakonILD Oct 01 '24

Someone pointed out that she knew how to capitalize on the fame wave and keep the audience interested. You said:

Yes, it's called being attractive.

I read quite closely. You specifically claimed, right out of the gate, that her being attractive was the reason she was able to maintain the audience. Not how she was able to gain the audience in the first place.

0

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Oh my mistake, i guess i should've specified that i believe she also got her fame that way too. Sorry i wasn't razer-specific on that. Also when i said "her" in all subsequent replies, i meant "hawk-tuah girl".

1

u/DrakonILD Oct 01 '24

Right, and then you go on to specifically acknowledge that there are other attractive people on the Internet without her level of success, thereby demonstrating that there must be something else besides her attractiveness.

It's taken three comments to explain what I thought was pretty clearly laid out in the first one.

By the way: it's razor. Razer is a brand of gaming peripherals.

0

u/HeorgeGarris024 Oct 01 '24

huh so then maybe there's more to it than attractiveness lol

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Maybe, and maybe not. I haven't seen anything especially interesting in her talks with people following the initial meme. Maybe im wrong. Better downvote to oblivion either way lol

1

u/WexExortQuas Oct 01 '24

Come to Georgia she looks like every single blonde here ever.

The only people I know who are into her are ultra right wing rad conservatives. So. There's that I guess.

1

u/MC_Cookies Oct 02 '24

i mean, there are plenty of attractive women who aren’t making hundreds of thousands in merch sales and podcast sponsorships, so clearly she’s doing something right. idk what her deal is in particular, i haven’t listened to a single episode of her podcast or anything, but it’s obviously more than just her looks getting her places.

0

u/tr1mble Oct 01 '24

It's called down voting a dumb comment lol

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

I know, i just did that.

0

u/tr1mble Oct 01 '24

So then why assume its to look good for a girl??

Is that you trying to be edgy? Maybe trying to look like a rebel and buck the trend? Or just being to be to cool for the room?

I mean I'm genuinely interested in why you think people would down vote you , and you think it's them trying to impress a girl on a podcast....

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

ACKSHUALLY, GENUINELY, ASSUMING.

idk dude, ive been replying to people seriously all morning and im kinda good on writing essays out. I'm now just shit posting, if you want my actual take search it out in other response. Anyways yes i am bad incel, trendbucker, big rebel. Whatever lol.

0

u/tr1mble Oct 01 '24

I see that you have your priorities....idc about your take on her 😆

I just find it funny when people try to be cool by throwing in a line they don't belive to sound like something they're not....have fun

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

You don't care so much you've stopped to reply, that's a curious way to express apathy :).

0

u/supercodes83 Oct 01 '24

Except there are boatloads of hot people in social media who don't make 300k in a month. It takes a bit more than that.

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

Yep, i didn't say every attractive person on a social media platform will get famous. This is extremely tiring, look at other comment threads to get full responses, I've been subjecting myself to replying all morning.

0

u/supercodes83 Oct 01 '24

No, you said she is famous because she is attractive. I am not misquoting, that is the post you made that I replied to. Her being attractive absolutely helps, but again, there are plenty of attractive people who have not achieved what she has, so there must be another x factor to her. Would you not agree?

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24 edited Oct 01 '24

Are you incapable of reading context in a situation? Yes, she's famous because there are other factors aside from being attractive. My point was that if someone who was conventionally unattractive/overweight made the same blowjob joke in an interview, i don't think they'd be selling shirts, i don't think they'd have a podcast, and i don't think people would care nearly as much. Again, i think she's gained the attention she has from being attractive and the nature of the original clip. People may have found it funny, but i think it was quasi-sexual and subconsciously people gravitate towards that content. So I'm not sure how many qualifiers or caveats need to be included so i don't get a reply like "oh, so you just think everyone who makes a joke in an interview and is attractive and is on social media gets famous, is that it?".

Also, before it gets brought up, yes i am aware multiple people have blonde hair on social media and they are not famous. Hitler drank water too etc etc etc.

lastly for sure, you mentioned that being attractive helped her. Lets explore that a bit. Why do you think it helped her and if you had to put a percentage on how much it had to do with it, what would that number look like?

Edit: i made like 15 other posts replying to people missing the point as hard as they possibly can. Go read those. Not rewriting novels all day.

1

u/supercodes83 Oct 01 '24

Yes, she's famous because there are other factors aside from being attractive.

Okay, so then you agree with the person you replied to that was being accused of simping for stating the exact thing you just stated here. I feel like the conversation can end here. Thanks

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

I think by most people's standards she is quite good-looking. I'm not sure if this is an attempt to dismantle my suggestion that she's garnered fame for being attractive and making blowjob memes. But I think you'd have to be willfully ignorant to not see that like 90% of people attracted to women would find her attractive. Im also talking about the internet and surface level appeal. So forget personality, accents, geography. If you put an attractive person (male or female; I'm not just calling this out because she's a woman, contrary to what another redditor so elegantly accused me of) in front of a camera and they say words that string together a sentence, give the video decent production quality in a podcast environment, people will watch it. Sorry, I just think this is a special case where hawk tuah wouldn't have even been famous for more than a day if she wasn't attractive. Plenty of women and men have made a name for being entertaining and interesting as an online personality, and i just dont think that's the case here.

u/[deleted] Oct 01 '24

1

u/IngestingTendies Oct 01 '24

That's all very convenient to say now, in this argument lol. I don't think that would be the first thought to occur in another context, unfortunately.

She looks like my asshole after diarrhea

1

“Anybody who likes anything popular that I don’t is a simp”

Weirdo

1

u/Stikes Oct 01 '24

jealousy is rough with this one

The first one that said anything you mean

0

u/McGannahanSkjellyfet Oct 01 '24

Found the Joe Rogan listener.

-1

u/RideOrTyeDie Oct 01 '24

Nope. I live an active lifestyle and don't listen nor watch podcasts. Reddit is about the only social media I really use.
